NEW PICS: VICTORIA ROWELL & TERRY 'MEAN LADY' McMILLAN @ HARLEM HOSPITAL EVENT.

Beautiful actress, motivational speaker and best-selling author, Victoria Rowell and a few other stars of the stage, screen and the literary world including veteran actor Melvin Van Peebles, actor Mel Jackson and best-selling author, Terry McMillan (looking as if she stays pissed off every single day of the freaking week! It's your birthday, lady! I mean, really...let it go and get the hell over it already, damn. Good thing Victoria was there to put a temporary smile on her face in a couple of pictures. But still. Later on, I'll explain one of the reasons why she insist on mean-mugging everything--and one--who crosses her path.) were all on hand to gather, mingle, sign copies of their books and mingle with the audience last night (October 18) as the Harlem Hospital Center presented 'Victoria Rowell & Friends.' Guests and speakers were entertained throughout the evening with performances by renowned classical pianists George Francois and Guillaume Lemasurier. The Harlem Hospital Dancers also performed a dance tribute to Rowell, who is an ex-ballerina.

Ain't nobody gon ask your ass for a piece of that damn cake!

WHAT'S THIS I HEAR ABOUT LIL MAN A.K.A. SPIKE LEE NOT PAYING HIS EMPLOYEES?

A production company working on a film executive produced by Spike Lee is being accused of holding out on thousands of dollars owed to the crew, reports the New York Daily News. Workers on the set of You're Nobody 'Til Somebody Kills You, directed by Spike Lee protégé Michael Pinckney, say they toiled for five weeks in May and have yet to see the remainder of their initial payments.

"A lot of people took pay cuts to do Spike a favor," said one crew member, who estimated 20-30 people were missing up to $3,000 each. I never got my last two weeks' pay," another worker told the Daily News. The crew members said Lee's attachment to the project encouraged them to work for below-union rates. An accountant for production company Drop Squad said the workers will eventually get their money. "It's not a matter of if [they get paid], but when," the accountant told the paper.

You're Nobody 'Til Somebody Kills You, a murder drama set in New York's hip-hop scene, stars Michael Imperioli (The Sopranos), Ashanti and Jadakiss.

MORE PICS FROM NE-YO'S 25th B- PARTY; WHEN YALL SEE THE PICS OF HIS MOM & SISTER....BE NICE.

NEW YORK — If it’s truly better to give than to receive, Ne-Yo benefited from a dose of good karma Wednesday night. Make that great karma. The Las Vegas songwriter, who has penned top hits for Beyoncé (Irreplaceable), Rihanna (Hate That I Love You) and Mario (Let Me Love You), among others, basked in the limelight of a star-studded birthday party held in his honor at the swank Tribeca Rooftop.

Def Jam prez Jay-Z and Island Def Jam chairman L.A. Reid showed up to offer good wishes to their star singer/songwriter. LL Cool J, Jermaine Dupri, Janet Jackson and Ray J. were just a few of the other big names in attendance. Rihanna managed to slip into the festivities late, as did Ne-Yo labelmate Chrisette Michelle, who serenaded the singer with a rendition of “Happy Birthday” before he cut his red-velvet cake and passed it around to the crowd.

Inside, models wore nothing but glitter paint, and waitresses were decked out in Playboy-inspired bunny outfits — for the evening’s own playboy, of course. Meanwhile, guests put their John Hancocks on a Giant magazine-sponsored, um, giant birthday card. Other celebs in attendance included Beanie Sigel, Nina Sky, DJ Clue, Chingy, Steve Stoute and former Making the Band choreographer Laurie Ann Gibson. The private party was sponsored by the singer’s Compound Entertainment label, as well as New Era and Rockport.

Ne-Yo was also given a one-night stay at the Peninsula New York as a gift.
