Talk about dressing down! I never thought I'd see the day when LisaRaye, who has liken herself as an urban version of Grace Kelly, would ditch her hair extensions and always expertly-applied make-up to make a public appearance.
Turks and Caicos' First Lady/Hollywood actress LisaRaye McCoy-Misick, recently took time out of her busy schedule to pay a visit to a group of special young ladies, becoming the latest celebrity to lend her support for the 'It's Cool to Be Smart' mentoring program for girls. During the November 6th stop at Houston's W.S. Holland Middle School, the former star of the CW's All Of Us, discussed her Lady Raye Foundation, which produces beauty pageants and other programs to help enhance the self-esteem and self-worth of disadvantaged teens. In addition, the star, who is also the founder of her own exquisite stone line called RayeDiant Jewels, fielded questions from several excited students, offering words of encouragement that were greatly appreciated by all.

Anyway, in related news, LisaRaye has moved up three slots on the native's Top 10 Shit list...which is a feat in itself when you consider the fact that she has held down the number one spot ever since she first stepped foot onto the island over two years ago. And according to Yardflex.com, her husband, the Honorable Dr. Michael Misick, Chief Minister of the Turks and Caicos Islands, isn't too far behind. Allegedly, the native's discontent stems from Misick's lack of total dedication to the people of his country. Whispers of the Chief dedicating the majority of his time in Hollywood attending red carpet, celebrity-attended events unrelated to Turks & Caicos alongside his wife as well as implementing the country's tax money to fund he and (mainly) his wife's luxurious lifestyle has the Islanders pissed off to the highest level of pisstivity.

As if that wasn't bad enough, another issue that has the West Indies natives spazzing out of control towards their Chief is the amount of 'Halle Berry-type money' he allegedly pays LisaRaye to appear in print advertisements (i.e. Departure magazine) to promote the Island in order to attract tourist visits and business.
Also, two months ago, I made a blog post regarding LisaRaye's new Lifetime reality show, The Premier & I, which was supposed to chronicle the fish-out-of-water aspect of the actress's daily life as she adapts to life and her new role as the First Lady of Turks & Caicos Islands. The show, which was supposed to start filming in November has been canceled, according to Yardflex.com
