MICHELLE WILLIAMS EXPLAINS HER FASHION SENSE; DEBUTS 3rd SINGLE FROM NEW ALBUM 'UNEXPECTED.'

‘I like to mix expensive and cheaper clothes, but shoes are what really makes an outfit. You can slip on a Topshop skirt with a Gap top, and with the right footwear you can look like you’re dressed from head to toe in Roberto Cavalli. It breaks my heart to see young girls bankrupting themselves and their parents because they believe they have to emulate celebrities. They don’t realize the couture dress that a singer is wearing on the red carpet at the Grammys is borrowed, or that there’s a team of security guards waiting off stage to take away the Harry Winston diamonds as soon as the star leaves the spotlight.’

--Singer Michelle Williams on how she chooses her wardrobe and why young girls shouldn't get so caught up on mirroring a celebrity's designer-labeled clothing style.

In other Michelle news, the singer just dropped the video for her third single The Greatest from her R&B solo debut album Unexpected, in stores now. “I’m making a statement with this album - Michelle is feisty. She’s not the quiet one. She’s not at church 24/7. She’s not on the altar sprinkling blessed oil everywhere. She has fun.'

MICHELLE WILLIAMS ON HER SOLO CAREER & A DESTINY'S CHILD RENUNION: 'I DON'T LOOK TO THEM FOR ANYTHING.'

Don't expect Michelle Williams to be all gung-ho about the possibility of another Destiny's Child reunion. The singer says she has ruled it out and is more focused on her solo career in R&B music. "I haven't heard anything about a Destiny's Child reunion. I'm focusing on me now and want to stand on my own two feet. I'm definitely carving out my own niche. I don't look to them for anything. I've got a long way to go cos I'm starting over but I'm happy for it to build slowly."

NEW PICS: MICHELLE WILLIAMS & TERRENCE HOWARD PERFORM AT NICHE LAUNCH PARTY; TERRENCE PROVES CELEBS CAN BE STALKERS TOO.

Actor-turned-singer Terrence Howard and Destiny's Child Michelle Williams performed at the Niche Media Michigan Avenue Launch Party hosted by Cindy Crawford at The James Hotel in Chicago last night. Check out the pictures below. Terrence's debut album, Shine Through It was released on September 2nd while Michelle has been given an October 7th release date for her first R&B album titled, Unexpected. I hear Terrence has a song on his album called No. 1 Fan which details the drama he put himself through when he realized his marriage was over and that stalking his ex-wife while she was out on dates with other men was not the business....or legal. "I wrote that song (No. 1 Fan) as a stalker. It was raining, and I was sitting there in front of the house, watching her come home from a date after we were divorced. I was imagining what she did on this date, and watching her giving him a kiss. I went home and wrote this song."

Who knew celebs could be stalkers too?!

ON TUESDAY, NOVEMBER THE 12th, THE 'BEY-MOCRACY' IS COMING!! THE 'BEY-MOCRACY' IS COMING!! THE 'BEY-MOCRACY' IS COMING!! + NEW DEREON JEWELRY LINE.

Heads up, everybody! The Bey-mocracy is coming! It's been confirmed that Beyonce's next studio album (which still has no title...although some say she fiddled around with naming it Virtuoso Intellect) will hit stores on Tuesday, November 11th. Beyonce's new album will be released about two weeks before the soundtrack from her latest film, Cadillac Records hits stores on October 29th. No pun intended, but I smell deja vu right about now. Back in 2006, Beyonce's had originally made plans to release her album B'Day after the Christmas release of the Dreamgirls movie. However, Bey's former band mate LeToya Luckett had released her self-titled solo debut in July of 2006. It wasn't until after LeToya's album blew up that Beyonce decided to run to the studio where she recorded her album in about two weeks before pushing her release date up to September 4th. I guess she couldn't or didn't want to risk the chance of having a former friend/band mate to interrupt her shine and whatnot. Anyhoo, I said all of that to say this: Michelle's, Bey's other band mate, new solo album was scheduled to debut back in August....and has now been given an October 7th release date. Is it safe to say that Michelle doesn't stand a chance at any reputable record sales once Beyonce trollops out the gate to promote her newest album? I guess only time will tell.

Moving on....word around the web is that Bey and her mama Tina will soon launch a jewelry line aptly titled Deréon Jewelry for their Deréon Junior Line. The jewelry line will include necklaces, charm bracelets and hoop earrings in metal, glass and enamel which will retail from about $16 to $68 and will be available in Macy's, Dillards and other specialty stores like Claire's Boutique. Of the new line, Tina says, "I love accessories and we’ve always used a lot of accessories, so it was a natural thing for us to do. For the first collection, I wanted to do a lot of things taken from the street. One of the things I love to do is walk on the streets of New York or Brooklyn and see what the kids are doing, and that goes with our mantra — catwalk meets sidewalk. I saw a lot of filled hoops and charm bracelets, that’s what the kids are wearing these days."

MICHELLE WILLIAMS ON HOW SHE COPED WITH THE DISSOLUTION OF HER ENGAGMENT & DREAM WEDDING; APOLIGIZES TO FANS FOR ALBUM'S PUSHBACK.

"I had looked at wedding books. I was looking at venues and doing all those things that a person would do who knows they're gonna marry somebody. I bought the house and all that good stuff. Then it was like, no, that's not gonna happen. I think that was the worst hurt I've ever felt in my life. Nothing can help; food didn't help, trying to get with somebody else didn't help, family didn't even help. It was literally me praying for my heart to get healed, because, when I love, I love pretty hard and I put a lot into a relationship." The singer insists she's glad the break-up happened, because now she's much stronger for it: "I grew so much. I'm a totally different person because of it, but in a good way. A lot of people go through a bad break-up and they just become promiscuous...and they are bitter all the time, but, for me, that didn't happen."

--28-year-old singer Michelle Williams on how she nursed her secret heartache after the 2004 break-up of her engagement and the dissolution of her dream wedding to her former fiancé after he told her he wasn't ready for marriage. Williams says her only way of coping with her heartbreaking loss was through prayer and a big bank account; and she says she's going to make sure her next relationship (or maybe her current one?) will not be so costly. "Relationships get very expensive... You try to fly on the red-eye (overnight plane) home, you try to spend time (with him). When I was overseas, I racked up a $10,000 cell phone bill....I'm not weary of it [getting married] at all. I do believe there is a particular gentleman out there for me who will come when I least expect it." Bless her precious heart. I had no idea she was supposed to be the first wife'd up member of Destiny's Child.

Michelle's new album Unexpected has been pushed back for released from August 18, 2008 to October 7, 2008. Gosh, it's bad enough that it took her two years to record the album and now it's been pushed back 2 months!

AFTER THE JUMP, READ MICHELLE'S APOLOGY TO HER FANS REGARDING HER ALBUM'S NEW RELEASE DATE.

..I am so sorry about the news of my album!!! Trust me......when they told me I was numb for two days and couldn't talk to anybody!!! I had sooooooooooooo many questions of as to why they'd push my album back three weeks before the original release date!!!! I will be honest and say that I am disappointed becuz I feel like we should've been doing more 3 months ago to promote my album instead of waiting to the last minute to change the date!!!! I have thought about EVERYTHING!!! Columbia Records is saying that they need more time to properly set up the album to ensure its success!!! So let's make some lemonade out of the lemons!!! This could very well be a blessing in disguise!!! Plus there are still many people who didn't even know my album was coming out August 12th anyway. I know you guys are LIVID but let's keep the energy POSITIVE!!!! Things will work out for the good!!!! I will still WIN!!!!!

I HAVE AND WILL CONTINUE to do my part in making the album a success!!! I have a great album and am confident that it can stand with the rest of the great music that is coming out this year!!!!

MICHELLE WILLIAMS EXPLAINS HER 'SO UNFORTUNATE' SITUATION WITH MEN.

"I haven't had any luck this year. It's been a couple years since I've been in a really serious relationship. Every now and then, you might think you're coming up on a winner, and then it doesn't work out."

--Former Destiny's Child member and Broadway star Michelle Williams to People magazine on her lackluster love life. Williams calls her situation with men "so unfortunate." However, she still manages to stay on top of things when it comes to her professional career. The 27-year-old Chicago, Illinois native is set to release her first solo R&B album Unexpected, in August while hoping and praying her hectic career won't delay goals in her personal life.

NEW PICS: SOLANGE PROMO PICS; MICHELLE WILLIAMS ON THE SET OF HER NEW VIDEO, 'WE BREAK THE DAWN.'

Solange Knowles has released more promotional pics in preparation for the release of her new sophomore album SoL-AngeL and The Hadley Street Dreams. In a recent interview, the star revealed the reasons as to how she came up with her album's name. Click HERE to read it. I'm kinda feeling 'em. Hopefully the second time around will be the charm for Solange. Poor girl didn't even sell 50,000 copies of her debut album. Bless her heart.

====================================

Look down there at Michelle trying to look like she all hard and whatnot! LOL! The pics below are from the set of her new video, We Break the Dawn which was filmed last Wednesday in Los Angeles. We Break the Dawn (listen to it HERE) is Michelle's first single from her upcoming (and first commercial R&B) solo album Unexpected...which will hit stores August 12, 2008. Lord, I hope she didn't do much dancing in that video. Rhythmically moving her body to music is just something she isn't made for. For example: Destiny's Child's Lose My Breath video. Ever wondered why she was cut from most of the video's dance sequences? Because she CAN'T DANCE! When it comes to dancing, I don't know whose worse: Michelle or Mariah Carey. They both just need to stand still at all times.

JAY-Z CELEBRATES THE END OF HIS SINGLE LIFE @ PRIVATE BACHELOR PARTY; WILL HE & BEY JUMP THE BROOM TODAY?

More details have surfaced surrounding Beyonce and Jay-Z's alleged impending nuptials. And I must say that this time around the reports are more believable simply because well...there has been more than one legitimate report. The trip to the courthouse last Tuesday to obtain their marriage license is the first real indication that the pair – who first started dating in 2002 – will soon make things official. One witness told People magazine, "It was just the two of them. They were very polite and smiling as they filled out the paperwork. They were holding hands for a while. They looked really happy." Add to that the fact that the only comments coming from Bey and Jay's camps are the standardized 'no comment.' While in the past, they're publicist would quickly shoot any rumors down as just that: rumors. As of now and according to numerous reports, Jay will finally make Bey Mrs. Shawn Carter today (April 4, 2008).

Currently on tour with Mary J. Blige, Jay has reportedly (dammit, if I have to use the word reportedly one more time, I'm going to scream) cleared his busy schedule for the big day. In addition, Beyonce's mother Tina and Destiny's Child member, Michelle Williams have landed in the Big Apple for the event. It's been a busy week for Jay to say the least. On Wednesday, he hosted a private party under the disguise of a bachelor party in Toronto, Canada. Another source told People magazine, "It looked like a bachelor party because soon the doors closed to all but the immediate guests. Jay-Z was laughing and happy and talking to everyone around him. It was amazing how many girls were flirting with him, but he was just being nice to everyone."

It has been rumored that Jay-Z, 38, proposed to Beyonce, 26, during a luxury holiday in Cannes, France, last May. The couple has 60 days from the original date of the signing of their marriage license to exchange vows - before the paperwork deadline expires.

MICHELLE WILLIAMS TO DEBUT HER 1st SOLO NON-GOSPEL ALBUM THIS AUGUST.

Can someone please tell me why folks, specifically Kelly Rowland, Michelle Williams and Solange Knowles insist on keeping Mathew Knowles as their manager when it's clearly evident the only person's career he has ever continued to give his undivided attention to is Beyonce? But I'll digress for now. Kelly's--whose last two solo albums couldn't even reach gold status combined (of course I'm being facetious...at least until I'm able to verify it)--former band mate Michelle has made an 'unexpected' decision to record a new album tentatively titled Unexpected....and it's not gospel-related. It's a straight R&B/dance joint. The title is perhaps a nod to her first solo project outside of the gospel genre. Due in August from Music World Entertainment/Columbia Records, the album is full of "synth-y, driving bass samples, electronic keys and bopping drums," according to Billboard.com.

Unexpected marks the follow-up to 2004's Do You Know and 2002's Heart to Yours, with which Williams returned to her church roots. However, Music World CEO Mathew Knowles insists Unexpected isn't that much of a stretch, considering Williams spent the bulk of 2007 playing the raunchy character Shug Avery in Oprah Winfrey's Chicago-based cast of The Color Purple. "Destiny's Child fans bought Michelle's last album (which sold about 78,000 copies)," said Knowles. "So now those fans are in their late 20s and early 30s. With Unexpected, she'll be able to appeal to those fans and reach back to the 16-year-old audience and hit mainstream pop radio."

We Break the Dawn is the first single, set for release in April, while Stop This Car, which leaked on the Internet earlier this year, is the second.
