NEW PICS: SPOILER & PICTURES FROM 'THE GAME'S' 'DELECTABALE BASKET OF TREATS' EPISODE. (10/31/2008)

Actors Robin Givens, Duane Martin, Tisha Campbell-Martin, Penny Marshall and former NBA players Rick Fox, Jalen Rose and Chris Paul (who currently plays for the New Orleans Hornets) all guest-star as themselves in tomorrow's (October 31, 2008)all new episode (aptly titled Delectable Basket of Treats) of The Game. In last week's episode, we saw Malik (Hosea Chanchez)take the reins in hopes of helping Robin save face after the media learns of their marriage and deem it as a publicity stunt. In this week's episode, hoping to get more publicity for their celebrity marriage, Robin and Malik plan a belated wedding reception, but his mother, Tasha (Wendy Raquel Robinson) decides to boycott the party since she believes their marriage is a sham and won't support it. At the reception, Derwin (Pooch Hall) and Melanie (Tia Mowry) must face the reality of their complicated relationship after many people mistakenly congratulate Melanie on her pregnancy. Meanwhile, Rick reluctantly introduces Tasha to his overly protective mother (guest star Penny Marshall), causing fireworks to ensue between the two headstrong women. Brittany Daniel ('Kelly Pitts') and Coby Bell ('Jason Pitts') also star.

However, judging by the stills, it looks like the two who were at odds with each other kissed and made up! Peep episode stills below. Click on each one to see its full image.

EXECUTIVE PRODUCER MARA BROCK AKIL DISHES ON THE THIRD SEASON OF 'THE GAME.'

Without a doubt, the 3rd season of The CW’s The Game is the most anticipated return to television especially since the network’s upper-ups canned Girlfriends. But I digress…I have to or I’m liable to have a conniption just thinking about it. Anyhoo, here’s what we (diehard) fans already know: Melanie Barnett a.k.a.‘Med School’ a.k.a. 'Girl Melanie' and Derwin Davis are thisclose to hooking back up for good when Derwin’s ex-girlfriend, Janay, informs him that she is with child….his child! Jason, who has finally kicked his steroid habit, might have finally pushed his wife, Becky….I mean Kelly as far as she could go with his cheap, ‘I-Am-Man-Hear-Me-Roar’ tactics. In the meantime and in between time, Tasha has found love…or maybe lust with her new co-worker, played by that ever-so-fine Rick Fox. Then there’s Malik who has not only fired his mother as his manager (he obviously hasn’t learned a damn thing from Curious George’s human twin brother, Usher), but has also jumped the broom with his cougar Robin Givens. Although the majority of the cast portray fictional characters, their unresolved issues vastly parallels most of our everyday lives.

With that said, who wouldn’t become addicted to such an entertaining sitcom? Hell, it’s all we have to look forward to this fall season anyway. According to Nielsen Co., The Game (created by executive producer Mara Brock Akil) dominates the half-hour comedy spot in Black households, which was left vacant by its sister sitcom (also the brainchild Akil‘s) that I mentioned above. Therefore and thus and such, I will not repeat its name for fear of breaking down into tears….so please allow me to digress once more.

AFTER THE JUMP, FIND OUT IF THERE WILL BE ANY RECONCILIATIONS, BREAKUPS OR BABY MAMA DRAMA. PLUS TAKE A PEEK AT A FEW INTERESTING SPOILERS FROM THE UPCOMING SEASON.

So what can we expect to see this season? While some fans, such as myself, are hoping and wishing for a Team Merwin reconciliation, there are others who are wondering what will become of the clique’s interracial couple now that their marriage has become so strained. The only person that can answer that question and tackle that true-to-life image of a Black athlete who marries a White woman is Akil. ’On the show, we’re very vocal about when a brother marries outside the race. That’s what Tasha’s character represents toward Kelly. But they’ve formed a friendship out of being bold, brash and confronting the race issue,’ says Akil. If you’re on the edge of your seat wondering which couple(s) will actually cross over into the end zone before breaking out into their well-coordinated touchdown dance or which couple(s) will get sacked at the one yard line, Akil wants you to know that she feels your pain. She tells Essence magazine, ‘I hear the audience. I know they want a happy, good couple. I want that, too, but I’m just showing the journey of how you get there.'

While Akil may be tight-lipped about giving us the goodies on next season, TV Guide and a few other sources aren't. According to the publication, more veteran actors will make guest-appearances during the run of this season. On the October 31st episode, Laverne and Shirley actress Penny Marshall will play Rick Fox's mother. In this episode Tasha discovers just how much of a mama's boy her new boo really is. It'll be funny to see how Penny and Tasha interact considering Penny's role comes off as an overprotective mother who commends herself for the success of Rick's career with the Lakers. TVguide.com also revealed what some of us Team Merwin fans have feared: Janay is indeed pregnant. But is she pregnant with Derwin's baby? If this gives you any clue at all, in an impromptu interview during the 2008 Teen Choice Awards, Tia Mowry said the season opener will be an emotional, hour-long episode. Also, more spoilers have claim the Pitts marriage has hits the skids for good and that they will go through a divorce. That's not all. While 'Med School' decides to seriously buckle down in an effort to obtain her medical degree, even going as far as beginning her residency at a local hospital, our playboy Malik, on the other hand, will find himself doing something he never thought he would have to do: defending his manhood and fighting off gay rumors. As for Tee Tee. Nothing's changed.

Check out The Game when it premieres its third season on a new night and time beginning on Friday, October 3rd at 8:30 p.m. Also check back with Real Gossip 101 next week when I will have new news on actor Coby Bell (who plays Jason Pitts) and a new photoshoot of Hosea Chanchez (who plays Malik Wright) including details on his love life as well as his relationships with his cast mates..

MOVIE TRAILER: TYLER PERRY'S 'THE FAMILY THAT PREYS' STARRING ALFRE WOODARD, SANAA LATHAN, ROCKMOND DUNBAR, TARAJI HENSON, ROBIN GIVENS....

Academy Award®-winner Kathy Bates and Academy Award®-nominee Alfre Woodard star as the matriarchs of two very different families being torn apart by greed and scandal in the contemporary drama Tyler Perry's The Family that Preys. The sixth feature film by Perry chronicles the inner workings of two families—one upper-crust and the other working class—that become inextricably linked by scandal. Wealthy socialite Charlotte Cartwright (Kathy Bates) and her dear friend Alice Pratt (Alfre Woodard), a working class woman of high ideals, have enjoyed a lasting friendship throughout many years. Suddenly, their lives become mired in turmoil as their adult children’s extramarital affairs, unethical business practices and a dark paternity secret threaten to derail family fortunes and unravel the lives of all involved. Alice’s self-centered newlywed daughter Andrea (Sanaa Lathan) is betraying her trusting husband Chris (Rockmond Dunbar) by engaging in a torrid affair with her boss and mother’s best friend’s son William (Cole Hauser). While cheating on his wife Jillian (Kadee Strickland) with a string of ongoing dalliances with his mistress Andrea, William’s true focus is to replace the COO of his mother’s lucrative construction corporation. Meanwhile, Alice’s other daughter Pam (Taraji Henson), a kind but no nonsense woman married to a hard working construction worker (Tyler Perry), tries to steer the family in a more positive direction.

While paternity secrets, marital infidelity, greed and unsavory business dealings threaten to derail both families, Charlotte and Alice decide to take a breather from it all by making a cross-country road trip in which they rediscover themselves and possibly find a way to save their families from ruin. Tyler Perry's The Family that Preys opens nationwide in theaters on September 12, 2008 and is also Perry's first film with a prominent storyline involving white characters.

JENNIFER HUDSON MOVIE UPDATES ON TYLER PERRY'S 'THE FAMILY THAT PREYS TOGETHER' & 'THE SECRET LIFE OF BEES.'

Back in January, I told you all that Academy Award winner Jennifer Hudson was in negotiations to co-star in Tyler Perry's new film, The Family the Preys Together (which will be released in September) alongside Perry, Sanaa Lathan, Kathy Bates, Alfre Woodard, Rockmond Dunbar, Taraji Henson and Robin Givens. Well, the key word in that post was "negotiations." Hudson will not be in the film; however she will appear on the big screen on October 17, 2008 in The Secret Life of Bees (based on Sue Monk Kidd's bestselling novel) alongside Alica Keys, Queen Latifah, Dakota Fanning and Sophie Okonedo. Set in South Carolina in 1964, the film is the moving tale of Lily Owens (Fanning) a 14 year-old girl who is haunted by the memory of her late mother (played by Hilari Burton). To escape her lonely life and troubled relationship with her father, Lily flees with Rosaleen (Hudson), her caregiver and only friend, to a South Carolina town that holds the secret to her mother's past. Taken in by the intelligent and independent Boatwright sisters (Latifah, Okonedo and Keys), Lily finds solace in their mesmerizing world of beekeeping, honey and the Black Madonna. “It’s very raw, very raw. It affected each of us in some kind of way,” says Hudson. “Like with me, I had to do research like crazy on the civil rights movement. That messed with my mind. And then I had to fight three white men because I was my own stunt double. Dakota, Queen and Tristan (Wilds) had to go to bee school and learn how to deal with bees. Alicia had to learn how to play the cello. I’ve never had to be this involved in anything in my life! I had to touch a bug. I had a fit, honey. I nearly lost my mind! It was a beetle, but luckily, it was beautiful.”

In other Hudson news, the singer is reportedly getting a few stings after her self-titled album cover (click picture on the right to see its full image), which shows a tiny-waist, slimmed-down, svelte figure of the singer hit the Internet recently. Sources have denied that Hudson’s photo was retouched using photo shop. Some reports claim record label execs at J Records implemented the same photo-retouching experts used on the cover of Mariah Carey's latest album. Nothing doing. "Yes, that’s Hudson’s waist and her ample top half. She has a thin waist,” the insider insists. Hudson's album is scheduled to hit stores on September 30, 2008. There’s also talk, Hudson says, of recording a song for the soundtrack of The Secret Life of Bees, with costars Latifah and Keys. “It would be an honor for me to do a song with them,” Hudson cooed.

TYLER PERRY SAYS SOMEONE IS STALKING HIM.

Someone is stalking my Uncle Tyler. I can't help it. There's just something about him that makes me want to call him my Uncle Tyler. And then again, there's something about him that makes me wish he was my Uncle Tyler! Anyhoo, after checking my email to read his latest letter to his fans (because dude's went ghost for a while), I truly thought he was joking. He opened the letter up stating: "Okay, I know that I haven’t written in a while but I’ve been dealing with a situation. I’m trying to be careful how I say this without inciting this person, but I have a stalker. This person sends several hundred emails a day to my office and has planned our wedding and bought rings and such. She has showed up at my house several times. What’s crazy is I’ve never met this woman nor have I even responded to her emails. I’ve had to increase the guards at my house as well as travel with body guards and I hate that. I hate to have big guys following me around. Anyway I’ll try to keep this positive. Let me breathe..."

Dude, all you have to do is put on your Madea get-up, invite her somewhere for a serious and intense back-bending game of 'grit-ball', curse her ass out and be through with it. It ain't that hard. But are you sure she wasn't just asking you to forward those letters, emails, wedding plans and phone calls to Lamman Rucker? I mean you handsome and all, but I'd have an easier time believing this story if the person she was stalking was Lamman. Some days, I'm a photo collage and a pair of binoculars away from becoming his stalker my damn self! LOL! Tyler went on to say that the ratings fro his TBS sitcom Tyler Perry Presents House of Payne have gone through the roof. And I believe it. The show has gotten 10 times better...especially with the addition of celebrity guest stars such as Michael Jai White, Robin Givens and Keshia Knight-Pulliam.

And what Tyler letter would be complete without him asking his supportive fans for a favor? LOL! Bless his heart! It's the least we could do. According to Perry, Time magazine has listed his him as a finalist on it's 2008 Top 100 Influential People list. However, in order for him to make the list, fans have to click this LINK and vote as many times as you wish. Tyler said, "I don't know what this means or why they selected me for this list but since they did, I'd sure like for you to have a voice in this contest." Other black celebrities mentioned on the list include: Will Smith, Chris Rock, Oprah, Barack Obama, Tiger Woods, Nelson Mandela, Condolezza Rice, Tyra Banks, Jay-Z and will.i.am.

TOP 10 BLACK WOMEN (W/ONE EXCLUDED) WE LOVE TO HATE.

There are women we love, there are women we hate, and then there are these ten women: celebrities we know and love, and sometimes love to hate. Donna Summer sang, "love to love you baby," but there is just something about these women that makes us do the opposite. From Oprah to Tyra to Kim Kardashian, what is it about these black female celebrities that makes us love to hate them?

Kimora Lee Simmons annoys the world with her braying loud voice and her over-the-top sense of fashion. Not to mention, she stole that hottie Djimon Hounsou right from under the noses of women everywhere. Despite her antics on hit TV series Life in the Fab Lane Kimora Lee Simmons is a fashionista with a cause. Her jewelry line is producing the Green Bracelet, shown here, with part of its proceeds going to help African initiatives. Gotta love that.

Kim Kardashian came into prominence with the release of a sex tape with Brandy's little brother Ray Jay, making her yet another Hollywood princess to come to prominence for dubious activities. We hate her for getting so much play for so little talent. To everyone's surprise Keeping Up With The Kardashians, Kim's new show, is a huge hit. It takes a lot of courage to really bare all -- about your life, not your body that is. We love her for finding a way to turn scandal into triumph.

Tiffany "New York" Pollard has brought black female buffoonery to new levels on her reality series I Love New York on VH1. She even makes transvestites cringe at her over-inflated breasts. We love New York for stretching 15 minutes of fame into two seasons. If self-marketing is the art form of the 21st century, New York deserves a Pulitzer Prize in a specially-created category.

We hate Tyra Banks because she thinks being a black supermodel is a humanitarian cause. She has compared herself to black leaders who have promoted equality, because she was the first solo black model on the cover of Sports Illustrated. Tyra, get a clue and respect your ancestors. While she may not be the Rosa Parks of the 21st century, Ms. Banks is a bankable star, who has been able to parlay that Sports Illustrated cover into two hit television shows. She is an inspiration to young women everywhere, so even if she needs a history lesson we salute her.

We hate Star Jones for denying that she had gastric bypass surgery for four years. She lied to the public. And we knew anyway. Despite our resentment, we love Star for finally coming out as it were. By admitting to having had gastric bypass surgery, it will help others to more easily make this choice for their health. For this we are grateful.

PEEP THE TOP 5 AFTER THE JUMP!

Karrine Steffans is something that everybody in the hip-hop industry hates -- a snitch. In her best-selling book Confessions of a Video Vixen, Steffans rats out all the famous men she has been with. As a veteran in the field of "thug" entertainers, she should know better. Even if "snitches get stitches," this snitch has parlayed being a video ho into fame and fortune. Rather than just being kicked to the curb like so many, Steffans used her brain to make something out of her experiences, thus beating many players at their game.

We hate Robin Givens for her gold digging ways. It was clear to everybody but Mike that she was into him for the money. It's hard to like somebody who would use somebody for his wealth. We love Robin for working hard in her maturity to make the best of what life she has left. After leaving a marriage to Mike Tyson that included abuse, Givens has penned a memoir and will soon return to the big screen as the star of a Wendy Williams biopic. There is nothing like a survivor, and for that we love her.

Miss Oprah may have the hearts of millions on one big leash, but she is still a human being who has exercised a lot of bad judgment in the last year. Maybe her ego is blinding her to the details of her businesses and initiatives. We love Oprah, despite recent slip-ups, for owning up to every mistake and doing everything she can to make amends. She is not perfect, but then again, neither are we.

Condi Rice is a woman who is easy to hate. As few blacks are big fans of the Republican party, seeing one of our own defect to the other side definitely raises both eyebrows. The word sell-out is coming to our lips. We love her for being the first black woman to become Secretary of State. She is also only the second woman to hold the position. Amazing. Gotta love it, regardless of your feelings about her politics.

We'll be the millionth person to say it. Sit down Bey(once). Having just released a performance DVD of the world tour that nobody wanted to see, and a branded cell phone, we are sure that Beyonce Knowles and clan are sitting around somewhere thinking of some to way to over-expose their eldest daughter Hate it or love it, B is still rocking it. In a recent Black Voices interview, even the legendary Patti LaBelle gave Beyonce props. B can sing, dance, act and promote the hell out of any product. We have to love a successful, beautiful black woman who keeps bringing it.
