PICS: STEVE HARVEY'S 5th ANNUAL HOODIE AWARDS SHOW.

Steve Harvey's 5th Annual Hoodie Awards was in full effect this past weekend. Can you believe there has been five Hoodie Awards shows? Huh? What you say? What's the Hoodie Awards?! The Hoodie (short for Neighborhood) Awards, which was created by comedian/actor Steve Harvey, could be best described as the urban/hood version of the Oscars with a twist. Still confused? What's the twist? Well, you know in any other ordinary awards show, an award is awarded to a celebrity for their excellence in music, film and whatever else. But a Hoodie award is awarded to an everyday, ordinary citizen of any given community. The show honors local business establishments, religious and community leaders, churches and high schools for their contributions and excellence within various neighborhoods. Another twist is the fact that these awards are presented to each winner by a celebrity. Now, why some of this year's celeb prsenters decided to arrive to the show looking like pure, utter, through-and-through methods of true walking/talking madness is beyond me. I can't even call it!

And peep these categories: Best Barbershop, Best BBQ spot, Best High School Teacher, Best Church, Best Fried Chicken Place, Best Soul Food Place, Best Car Wash/Detail Shop, Best Choir Choir, Best Nail Salon, Best Community Leader, Best Church...and more.

So check out the pics...and there's more after the jump!

NEW PICS: T.I. IN COMPLEX MAGAZINE; RAPPER CONTRADICTS HIMSELF IN THE INTERVIEW?

Did you all know that words can be powerful? So powerful to the point that if by chance you happen to speak them enough (in a good or bad way), there's a great possibility that they can, and in most cases, become true? Case in point: The Rubberband man a.k.a. T.I./Tip Harris is featured in the November issue of Complex magazine. My job dropped when he basically said shooting pistols was something he doesn't do anymore because not only does he have a great life, he also intends on being around to raise his children; therefore he refuses to stoop to the level of others who don't live by the same principles as him. Now, does that sound like a contradiction to you? Well, it does to me.

On Rap Now:
COMPLEX: You’re the only rapper to drop platinum albums the last two years. How can you say you don’t fit in?

T.I.: When I saw Tupac talking that “Thug Life” shit, getting locked up for shooting police, and getting shot and living, that’s when I was like, Damn, them niggas is really about that shit. Now you’re just let down. This ain’t this guy that he was on this record. And nobody seems to have a problem with it. It’s a lot of fake shit in it. I like to consider myself an intelligent person, and this shit is not something of intelligence anymore. It’s getting real young and stupid, and that ain’t me.

IN TODAY'S 'THIS HEFFAH, HERE' NEWS: FOXY BROWN ALLEGEDLY SENTENCED TO 76 DAYS IN SOLITARY CONFINEMENT @ RIKERS.

Does temporary loss of hearing affect one's brain cells? Or has Foxy Brown become more mentally-challenged than she already is? And why am I not surprised over the fact that she has been sentenced to 76 days in solitary confinement due to her violent outbursts and what not? I mean, really. And folks said Maia Campbell was/is crazy. After reading about Foxy's shenanigans, I'm not so sure. But, I'll have more on Maia later.

For all of Foxy Brown's missed court dates, probation violations and altercations over the past three years, the judge hearing her case, Melissa C. Jackson, provided the troubled rapper with a reasonably long leash. It was only after repeated warnings that Jackson sentenced the Brooklyn artist to a year in prison. The staff at the Rose M. Singer facility, however — where Brown has been jailed since August 22 before her sentencing— don't seem to be as patient. The rapper's manager, Chaz Williams of Blackhand Entertainment, confirmed to MTV News that Foxy has been ordered into solitary confinement, although he did not confirm some details that the New York Post reported on Wednesday (October 23). The paper said Foxy is set to remain in solitary for 76 days due to three separate infractions that occurred over the past 30 days, according to a source.

The first of the three incidents that Brown is being disciplined for occurred October 3, according to the Post, when the rapper and another female inmate got into a scuffle that had to be broken up by prison officials. The next day, Brown was accused of verbally assaulting officials and refusing to take a mandatory drug test. The Department of Correction reviewed matters and placed the rapper in "punitive segregation." She is only permitted to leave for one hour each day to see visitors, meet with her attorney or partake in a limited number of recreation options. The other inmate involved in the fight was given 11 days of solitary confinement.

The infractions do not include her recent late arrival to a court date in Brooklyn. She allegedly refused to leave her cell until she'd changed into a different outfit and applied makeup, leading her to miss a bus scheduled to transport her to the courthouse. She then refused to leave the facility without eating lunch first.

Spice Girl Melanie Brown has protected her assets from new husband Stephen Belafonte -by removing his name from the lease on their $5 million home, according to reports. The singer reportedly ordered Belafonte to sign a form confirming she is the sole owner of the Hollywood Hills home. A source tells British newspaper The Sun, "She is smart enough to know she has to protect herself and her children. Stephen was happy to sign the form giving up rights to the property. He is not after Mel's cash." Brown and Belefonte married in Las Vegas in June (07).
