I've never seen Ashanti and her boyfriend, Nelly show so much affection towards each other in public before. That's a good look. They look adorable together...as well as very much in love DESPITE Deelishis flapping her recently-installed porcelain veneered chops claiming Ashanti and Nelly's relationship is fake. Heffa, your ass kissed Flavor Flav in the mouth and said you liked it..so now we're supposed to believe you when you start yapping off at that contaminated hole you call a mouth about someone else's relationship? Sorry, we don't believe you! You need more people!

After Saturday night's taping of the B.E.T. Hip Hop Awards show in Atlanta, the R&B singer celebrated her 27th birthday at Jermaine Dupri's 'Cafe Dupri' in Atlanta with an 80s hip-hop-type theme. I think she pulled it off really well. Also in attendance were Jermaine Dupri, of course, Ne-Yo and Katt Williams. Looks like a good time was had by all. Can you imagine the music that was played at that party? I'm getting nostalgic just thinking about it! LOl! Doug E. PICS: MYA'S 28th BIRTHDAY PARTY AT JET IN LAS VEGAS

Does Mya have any celeb friends? At least one? I'm surprised that I didn't see any celebrities make at least a cameo appearance at the singer's 28th birthday party which was held at Jet nightclub in Las Vegas last week.

Poor Mya can't seem to catch a break these days. Her record label pushed back her fourth studio album, Liberation, to possibly October 23rd (and that's a strong possibly), when it was supposed to have been released months ago. I wouldn't blame her for believing that there is nothing she can do about it but wait until her record label make their move...this may also be the reason why we've been seeing her more at industry parties, fashion shows and other industry-related events...that really doesn't have anything to do with promoting her new album. Mya has recently hired a new manager so maybe he can get the ball rolling for her. Bless her heart.

Also, the singer was involved in a fender-bender earlier this month. According to the Washington Post, Mya, who is from Prince George County, accidentally ran her Escalade into a parked Ford Explorer in Georgetown. And unlike Britney Spears--who just drove away after hitting a parked car in Beverly Hills a couple of months ago--Mya actually sat and patiently waited for the cops to arrive. Police say Mya and Explorer owner just traded info -- no charges filed. Bless her heart.

CANDIDS: FANTASIA IN A 2-PIECE BIKINI

Because I had to tie up a few loose ends among other things, I wasn't able to do any posting. I have to give a huge shout out to my 8-year-old neicy-weecy, Jana and her volleyball team for winning their first game yesterday! Congratulations, yall!

Okay, I thought seeing Star Jones Reynolds in a bathing suit (post-gastric bypass) was unfair, but I gotta tell you...seeing Fantasia in a 2-piece bikini while proudly displaying her hoodrat hotness nth degree, is coming in at a close second. And that's real talk too. I have to thank (or either choke the hell out of) loyal RealGossip 101 reader, Natalie, for contaminating my inbox with these pictures. LOL!

JANET JACKSON EXPLAINS THE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN SHE & BRITNEY

Believe it or not, Janet Jackson can't relate to the life of drama that Britney Spears continues to endure. Although they were both child stars who became international pop music icons, and even both got too close for comfort to Justin Timberlake, Miss Jackson (if you're nasty) doesn't think there's much of a comparison between the two. Read what the original 'Nasty' girl exclusively told -- The BV Newswire.

"People are very quick to pass judgment on others but they never know what a person is going through and what makes them do certain things. So when people even ask me about Britney [Spears], I say 'Don't ask me, there are too many [assumptions] ... everyone is assuming and everyone is quick to pass judgment but no one really knows what this child is going through."

As reported heavily in the mainstream media, the former chart-topping superstar
recently lost custody of her two young children -- following a series of events that include questionable parenting skills and catastrophic career choices. "I can't even say that I've been there," Jackson said about the possibility that she can relate to Spears. "I don't know what she's going through. I don't have two kids. She's the oldest in her family, I'm the baby. I hear she doesn't really talk to her mother. I've never had that type of relationship with my mother. And I've always had my brothers and sisters. So I don't know what she's going through."

"The only thing we have in common," she concluded, "is that we're both female, we're both into music and we're both in the public eye and we've both been successful at it, and we both have our issues."

T.I. DENIED BOND...FOR NOW; PROSECUTORS. WANT HIM TO REMAIN IN CUSTODY UNTIL TRIAL

Are we even surprised? His violation of probation charge alone would have been a definite factor in him being denied bond.

Rapper T.I., who was arrested over the weekend on federal weapons charges, was denied bond during a brief appearance in federal court Monday afternoon. A federal magistrate said he must remain in custody for now. Federal prosecutors are asking T.I., whose real name is Clifford Harris Jr., be held without bond until his trial, which could be several months away. U.S. Magistrate Alan Baverman scheduled a hearing on Friday to determine whether there was probable cause for Harris' arrest and whether he will qualify for bond before trial.

Harris was wearing a black shirt and black pants, with his hands cuffed and his legs chained, when he was led into the courtroom. He made eye contact with family members and sat in front of members of his family. He answered "Yes, sir," and "Yes, your honor," when asked if he had been provided a copy of charges against him and whether he understood the charges.

During the hearing the courtroom was filled with a standing-room-only crowd. Those who arrived too late were forced to stand outside the courtroom.

Last Sunday (October 7), Miami rapper Trina made a special guest appearance at the 2007 Hip-Hop Octoberfest concert here in Tallahassee, Florida to promote her album, Da Baddest Bitch 2, which will be in stores February 12, 2008. During her appearance, the rapper also performed a medley of her past hits as well as her new single, Single Again. Looks like she got a little emotional, doesn't it?

Yung Joc, Rick Ross and Souljah Boy also performed.

There are a few Hollywood girlfriends who have each made a name for themselves, but have also managed to keep their rock-solid bond. Tinseltown gal pals Tichina Arnold and Tisha Campbell-Martin, Vivica A. Fox and LisaRaye McCoy-Missick and Star Jones Reynolds and Vanessa Bell Calloway, are a few celebrity galpals who haven't let the spotlight steal the shine from their friendship.

CHILDHOOD FRIENDS: Arnold and Campbell-Martin, who met each other when they were just 11 years old, are so close that their relationship has sparked rumors in the past and even more recently about them being more than friends. Arnold says, 'We have never had any other relationship other than our sisterhood. People do that with Oprah and Gayle. Most of the time it's people who have no business of their own. I know we're going to be friends until the day we die. God has already told me. Our friendship is so tight and strong, we don't give a damn about those rumors. We have stood the test of time and the obstacles. We've passed every test. The wonderful and authentic thing about our friendship is that we started so early in life and we got a chance to really learn each other.' Campbell-Martin, who has been married to actor Duane Martin for over 11 years chimed in, 'Why can't people be best friends without somebody trying to tear it down? For anyone to do that to Oprah and Gayle, that's dumb. Or to my husband and Will or to me and Tichina, it's stupid.'

With the close bond these two share, it's no surprise that Campbell-Martin is the godmother of Arnold's 3-year-old daughter, Alijah, while Arnold is the godmother to Campbell-Martin's 6-year-old son, Xen.

DEVOTED DIVAS: Unlike Campbell-Martin and Arnold, Fox and McCoy-Misick have only been the best of friends for a little over a decade. Fox had already established herself as an A-list actress when she met and embraced McCoy-Misick--who had just arrived on the Hollywood scene-- in 1995. LisaRaye describes Fox as a 'very loyal person. She's like a ride-or-die type of friend.' Fox said LisaRaye's 'humble spirit' made it easy for them to become friends. 'I'm from Indiana and she's from Chicago. We kind of got that Midwest flavor with a little bit of ghetto chic in it. Our friendship has survived the spotlight because we know that good thing called space. I don't need to be up in your world and you don't need to be up in mine. We can do that and not feel neglected. Now she's the first lady and running a country. I'm on the road and producing films. We do make time for each other with phone calls.'

SORORTIY SISTERS: Jones Reynolds and Bell Calloway aren't only best friends, they're also sorority sisters. The two met at the 1988 Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Boule in Los Angeles where Calloway was the keynote speaker during an undergraduate luncheon. 'I was awestruck by how smart, beautiful and accomplished this Black woman was...and she was the star. So all I wanted to do was meet my favorite actress,' says Jones Reynolds. Calloway said, 'It was something about her standing up trying to get my attention. It was her spirit. We left and went to see a movie. We've been best friends ever since. I can't imagine my life without Star being my best friend She's my sister.'

Jone Reynolds added, 'Celebrity has never defined our friendship. We always laugh that, 'whoever got the hook up has to hook everybody else up' and that has always been our rule. We recognize that celebrity is fleeting, but friendship is forever. Don't ever try to come in between us; we know where every bone is buried, because quite frankly, we helped bury them together.'
