NEW PICS: DIDDY'S OLDEST SON & AL B. SURE'S MINI-ME, QUINCY, CELEBRATES HIS 16th BIRTHDAY.

For teenyboppers and even grown-ass adults and celebrities, The Velvet Room in Atlanta was the place to be seen last night as Kim Porter and Al B. Sure's biological mini-me of a son, Quincy Brown, celebrated his 16th birthday which was aptly themed 'Stuntin' Like My Daddy.' Of course, as most of us know, the theme had nothing to do with Quincy's biological father (who was noticeably and unsurprisingly absent) but everything to do with the man who Quincy considers his real father--Sean 'Diddy' Combs--who has taken care of him as if he was his own since he was a toddler. And when you think about it, Quincy and Diddy had more time to bond with one another considering the fact that Justin didn't come along until about four years later. Ask Diddy and he will tell you he has 3 sons; not two biological sons and a play-play son from his girlfriend's previous relationship with an early 90s chart-topping R&B singer-turned-radio personality. Now, Puff the Bucktooth Dragon may be a lot of sheisty things, but there is at least one good thing he is known for: stepping up to take care of another man's responsibility.

After looking at these pictures of Quincy, I was thisclose to believing that God must have once given Al the power to conceive AND give birth to a child. I see absolutely, positively NO physical indications whatsoever that Kim had anything to do with the existence of Quincy! NONE. It's damn scary. Wouldn't it be funny if we heard Al say, 'Kim ain't even my son's real mama!' As for how Al feels about his son calling Diddy his daddy. One source says, “It hurts him to see his son look up to another man who is wealthier than he is and can provide a better life for Quincy.” I guess what eventually matters in the end is that Quincy (as well as his brothers) know in his heart that he is one of the lucky few who is privileged to have a positive male role model/father figure to look up to.

Anyhoo, it's a known fact that when Diddy throws a party, he goes all out and gets all extra and whatnot and then some. This time was no different. With the MTV cameras rolling (look for Quincy's party to appear on an upcoming episode of Super Sweet Sixteen...maybe), Diddy and his ex-girlfriend, Kim presented their son with 2 cars: a throwback 1964 Lincoln Continental and a brand new Range Rover. And a Super Sweet Sixteen bash wouldn't be complete without the attendance of some of today's hottest celebrities, right?

Celebs in attendance included: Chris Brown, Lauren London (who was probably hired by Diddy to attend as Quincy's date...I'm just playing! Well, sort of), Jermaine Dupri, Dallas Austin, Crime Mob, D4L member Fabo, Gorilla Zoe, Rev. Run and his son Daniel a.k.a. Diggy, Omarion, Bow Wow, Hurricane Chris, Quincy's little brothers, Justin and Christian and more.

FYI: It may take some time for the pictures to fully load since there's a large number of them.

NEW PICS: A.N.T.M. CYCLE 9 WINNER, SALEISHA DEFENDS HER WIN: 'MY PRIOR CONNECTIONS TO TYRA HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH MY WIN.'

Tyra Banks and company tend to make irrational decisions on America’s Next Top Model: “So who goes home? The girl who takes flawless pictures and walks the runway better than anyone we’ve ever seen? Or the girl who has such low self-esteem and such an ugly face that she’ll forever credit me with giving her a chance when no one else would?” But was their decision to award Saleisha the show’s ninth title fair?

After the 21-year-old former receptionist from Los Angeles was named the winner on Wednesday's ninth-cycle finale, the blogosphere was buzzing with reasons why she may have been undeserving of the victory and soon after, sharp-eyed fans dug up footage Saleisha's prior work. One of the apparent conflicts of interest—the fact that Saleisha Stowers participated in one of Tyra’s camps for teenage girls—was disclosed at the beginning of the season. But the rest were not, and E! News reports that those included “footage showing Saleisha walking the catwalk in an ANTM cycle-six fashion show, as well as appearing on the runway in an episode of The Tyra Banks Show (watch it here.).

AFTER THE JUMP, READ SALEISHA'S STATEMENT REGARDING WHY SHE WON FAIR AND SQUARE + PEEP CANDID PICS OF HER LEAVING THE 'LIVE WITH REGIS & KELLY SHOW' IN NYC.

Perhaps more significantly, “Saleisha had appeared in a nationwide Wendy’s commercial (watch it here), that aired in 2006, seemingly in violation of an America’s Next Top Model eligibility rule that states would-be contestants ‘must not have previous experience as a model in a national campaign within the last five years (including, but not limited to, appearances on television and print advertisements).’” The CW said in a statement that Saleisha did disclose her participation in the Wendy's spot, "after reviewing the commercial, it was determined that her appearance did not amount to 'modeling' experience, and therefore did not exclude her from participating in the show."

"Honestly, I feel that everything is done fair and square," Stowers told reporters during a Thursday conference call. "There's more than one judge, and I really think that every judge has their own opinion on the show. If they didn't feel like I deserved to be America's Next Top Model, then I wouldn't. I do feel like maybe [the judges] were a little harder on me. But I do feel I was judged equally and fairly, like every other girl. I did work hard to earn this, and I feel like I deserve it...I think I was chosen fairly like every other girl to be on the show. I really don't think that any connection from T-Zone or the Tyra Show had anything to do with my critiques or judging."

"I fought for this so hard, and I'm so determined, and I have it now, and I'm not letting it slip out," Saleisha proclaimed after learning of her victory. "I wanted it so bad, and I got it, and I'm never letting it go!"

The catwalk-focused series has been renewed through the 2009-10 season.

MARY J. BLIGE, BOBBY BROWN & TYRA BANKS SPEAK OUT IN SUPPORT OF BRITNEY SPEARS.

Bobby Brown, Mary J. Blige and Tyra Banks have sounded off on Britney Spears. While Brown (who considers Spears as a 'special artist' although she f*cked up one of his hit songs) and Blige, who are both former drug abusers...at least Blige is, understand firsthand exactly how Britney feels to be looked down on when she's hit rock bottom, Tyra Banks is working overtime at continuing to deny reports that she made comments suggesting the singer 'kill herself' and 'go out like Marilyn Monroe.'

Brown hated Britney Spears cover version of his track My Prerogative- but insists the singer is a "special artist" and should be given the chance to rescue her career. Although the R&B star "loved the video" for Spears' 2004 track, he insists she didn't do justice to the version he took to number one 20 years ago. But Brown insists his own battles with drugs show how fame can cause stars to meltdown. He says, "She's a special artist and people should treat her like a special artist. She's a very beautiful girl. I'm a perfect example of how this business can mess with your head. Just let that girl live for a minute."

R&B superstar Mary J. Blige has also spoken out in support of the troubled singer because she knows what it's like to be constantly followed by the tabloid trouble. Blige, who once battled substance abuse problems, feels sorry for stars such as Spears and Amy Winehouse as they fight their personal problems in public. She says, "They're human beings, and they're young, in a business that doesn't give a hoot about you. It's just sad. I hate to see any of these females go through it. I was young, and I did dumb stuff - I was doing worse than that."

And supermodel-turned-TV host Tyra Banks has blasted reports she criticized Spears and suggested she commit suicide, insisting the comments have been made up. The former catwalk beauty was reported to have slammed troubled Spears at a recent private party, where she was allegedly overheard saying, "Britney should just go ahead and kill herself after the album and go out like Marilyn (Monroe), very grand. She should have done it after the last album." But a representative for Banks' reality show, America's Next Top Model, has dismissed the claims, branding them "absolutely not true". And Banks was so appalled at the reports, she has issued her own statement hitting out at the media spin. She says, "Britney is a friend and we correspond with each other. These alleged statements are completely false."

MOVIE CRITICS MAR 'THE PERFECT HOLIDAY' CALLING IT 'OVERPLOTTED' & 'GUARANTEED TO TURN YOU INTO A GROUCH.'

According to most critics The Perfect Holiday doesn't come close to living up to its title. Michael Phillips in the Chicago Tribune describes it as "overplotted and underwhelming" and lacking "any sort of cinematic personality." Queen Latifah gets top billing in the movie, but Ann Hornaday warns in the Washington Post: "This crass seasonal programmer features only enough of its nominal star to avoid being sued by bait-and-switched filmgoers." Rafer Guzman in Newsday dismisses it as "sexist, unfunny and guaranteed to turn you into a grouch." That is indeed what it turned Carrie Rickie of the Philadelphia Inquirer into. Her summation of the movie: "In the annals of Noel films so wincingly, gratingly, insultingly bad that a lump of coal would be vastly preferable."

Well, I just finished watching the movie a couple of hours ago and personally, I kinda liked it. It could've been a bit better. It was the first movie I'd ever seen Katt Williams in where he didn't utter one curse word; and Charlie Murphy and Faizon Love had me rolling! However, in some scenes I wanted to reach through the screen and snatch that damn ponytail off the top of Gabrielle's head. Ol girl was sporting as if it was about to go out of style. And in other scenes (and I thought I'd never say this, but) it looked as if Morris hadn't been preserving his sexy as well as he should...and that is NOT the BUSINESS. But hey, I didn't have to pay to see it and chances are I'll never watch it again. So, oh well. You know? But it definitely didn't 'turn me into a grouch' like it did the critics. Geesh, it wasn't that bad.

IKE TURNER'S CURRENT WIFE ASKS TINA TO FORGIVE HER HUSBAND FOR HURTING HER.

The widow of late star Ike Turner has begged his first wife Tina to forgive him - because he "helped" her during their marriage. Ike died at his San Marcos, California home, on Wednesday (12.12.07), at the age of 76, but Tina refused to pay tribute to the star. The What's Love Got to Do with It? singer was married to Turner for 18 years, but the union was largely an unhappy one as a result of Ike's cocaine addiction and physical abuse. The couple divorced in 1976, with Tina's representative insisting earlier this week the singer had no contact with Ike for 35 years.

But Ike's widow Jeanette Turner hopes Tina can now forgive her former partner, who she brands "a good human being". She says, "I know that she was hurt. But there's something called forgiveness and I know Ike really forgave himself, which is really hard to do. I'm not defending what he did. I'm not saying he didn't do what he did when he was with Tina or me. But he was a human being. And being all of that, he's still a child-like person- pure and a good person always willing to help people. He was a human being and he helped Tina... he helped a lot of people."

Umm, the current Mrs. Turner may mean well, but I'm going to go out on a limb and say Tina isn't the person you should be begging in hopes that she will forgive Ike. As of now, that's between him and his God.

SISTER SOULJAH CONFIRMS SEQUEL TO 'THE COLDEST WINTER EVER'; TO BE RELEASED IN 2008.

Finally! Nearly 10 years after urban-fictional novel The Coldest Winter Ever hit bookshelves and took the literary world by storm, its community-activist-turned-best-selling author, Sister Souljah confirmed to her fans via her official website, SISTERSOULJAH.COM, that the highly-anticipated sequel will be released sometime in 2008! The following announcement was posted on her webpage:

After years of writing, thinking, traveling and creating, Sister Souljah's The Coldest Winter Ever sequel will be available in 2008. Sister Souljah says, "The sequel I have written will be quite a surprise I think. My readers will have to get their intellectual weight up! I have worked extremely hard to bring this one to the public. I love it. I was completely dedicated to making sure I didn't cheat my millions of readers from hoods, burbs and villages around the world. I am giving you something you can feel, remember, and use in your own lives. All credit goes to God for gracing me with the talent and insight. I truly believe God is the greatest author of all times."

Now, that's what I'm talking about! And I, for one, can't wait! I don't meant to toot my own horn and whatnot, but I will have you all to know that yours truly was able to cop a first-row seat along with a photo with Sister Souljah AND a personalized, autograph in my copy of The Coldest Winter Ever when she and Tom Joyner's wife, Donna Richardson-Joyner) were featured panelists on the Tampax Total You tour when it made a stop at Florida A&M University's Perry Paige Auditorium several years ago. Now all I have to do is track down a friend of mine who I haven't seen in about 5 years and pray to God she still has my damn book that she was supposed to return to me and....you know what? That's water under the bridge. For now. What's important is the fact that we readers are almost thisclose to finding out what Winter Santiago and her baby sister have been up to for the past 10 years.

Did I say I can't wait?! Urban novelists such as Nikki Turner, Vickie Stringer, Teri Woods, Wahida Clark, T.N. Baker, Deja King, Chunichi, Kiki Swinson wouldn't be here today if it wasn't for Sister Souljah's best-selling novel. And that's real talk too. And I know some folks may be wondering whatever happened to the movie adaptation of the book that had Jada Pinkett Smith was reportedly involved in. Well, it ain't gonna happen. And thank God for that. Besides, I'd rather read a sequel written solely by Sister Souljah than watch some watered down, chewed up and spit out version of it on film a la Terry McMillan's How Stella Got Her Groove Back. I don't care what anyone says, the book was 5 times better than the movie. No disrespect to Angela Bassett and Taye Diggs. But I'm just saying.

So it obviously was something on Blogger's end. And although there are still a couple of more things I need to tweak out, you all can expect to see more new posts soon.

If anyone else still has a problem viewing RealGossip 101, please let me know so that I can expeditiously handle the problem.

I've been made aware that some folks are having trouble viewing this blog, mainly in Internet Explorer. I use Mozilla Firefox to view and post on this blog...which is why I had no idea until now (thanks for bringing this issue to my attention, missladydiva!) that people were having trouble viewing it in their Internet Explorer browsers. I'm able to see everything just fine when using Firefox. But, if anyone else is having a problem viewing RealGossip 101 in their Internet Explorer or Firefox browsers, please let me know by posting them in the comment section of this blog post. I'm not computer whiz kid, so it may be a while before I'm able to get everything fixed. I'm also trying to update the blog's content while trying to solve any technical problems at the same time. And that is not a good look, let me tell you! LOL! Also, if anyone has any suggestions whatsoever, that can help me improve the look of RealGossip 101, please feel free to let me know.

I'll leave this post at the top of the blog's home page for the next couple of days BUT I will still update this site daily. So just check below this post to view any new blog entries.
