DIDDY CHOOSES NAME FOR HIS NEWEST 'MAKING THE BAND' QUINTET.

Rap mogul Sean 'Diddy' Combs has finally chosen a band name for his newest edition to the fourth installment of his Making the Band series. During a visit to Philly's Power 99 radio station, the group – Brian Andrews, Mike McCluney, Robert Curry, Qwanell Mosley, and Willie Taylor –are now officially known as Day 26, a possible reference to the 26th day of August in 2007, when Diddy formally revealed the group members. Diddy has spent the past five months selecting a name for his new protegees. The group is currently at work on a debut album, which is being produced by Diddy's longtime collaborator Mario Winans.

Watch Day 26, Danity Kane and Donnie record their respective albums on Diddy's new season of Making the Band 4, which premiered last week and airs Mondays at 10 p.m. on MTV.

Just when you thought you'd never see the unfortunate dudes who 'made the band' in MTV's Making the Band 4 or girl group Danity Kane a.k.a. the unfortunate chicks who also 'made the band' in MTV's Making the Band 3, they appear out of nowhere. Puff da Bucktooth Dragon hosted a party at Mansion nightclub in Miami Beach last night and allowed the aforementioned fellow Bad Boy Records artists including Cassie to show up to have their faces seen. He is such a sweetheart of a boss, ain't he? Oh, and even the white dude who didn't make the band because Puff thought he'd be better off as a solo act than a member of a band was there. Too bad he's much anticipated (to himself) solo album will never see the light of day. Just ask Cheri Dennis. Anywhoo, peep the pics below.
