*UPDATED* CHILLI & T-BOZ TO PERFORM @ BET AWARDS TONIGHT! + PICS OF CHILLI & CELEB BLOGGER NECOLE BITCHIE @ ROLLING OUT MAGAZINE'S SEMINAR FOR WOMEN.
T-Boz and Chilli's appearance/performance on the show--which is their first--further solidifies the fact that these ladies are dead-ass serious about releasing (and promoting) their lonnnnnnnnnnng-awaited solo musical projects...as well as other projects that they are working on collectively. And am I the only person wondering what it's going to be like to have Usher, Chilli and Usher's man/wife Tameka in the same venue on the same night? LOL!
In the meantime, check out pics of Chilli and celebrity blogger (and creator of The Urbanblogger.com--girl, we gon have to go out for margaritas so you can tell me how you came up! Oh, and I have to make a shout out to my fellow UBers!) Necole Bitchie (in the green blouse) at Rolling Out magazine's seminar for women in conjunction with The Covergirl Queen Collection at BAM in New York City last Saturday night (6.21.2088)

NBA BALLER DAMON JONES RESPONDS TO THE 'I'M EVERY WOMAN DREAM' COMMENTS.
"I get negative comments, I get positive comments, but I don't think anything I said in the article was derogatory toward women so I don't know why everybody's flaming up or so upset about the comments that I made. If I don't think I look good, who else will?"Cleveland Cavalier basketball baller Damon Jones, who shares a child with WNBA player Tina Thompson, comments on the backlash he received as a result of his previous statement in an issue of (Sister 2 Sister magazine) declaring the reasons as to why he's 'every woman's dream' and why he absolutely refuses to pursue any female.
But, umm, I'mma need someone to send a memo to Jamie Foster Brown to let her know that the Internet is much faster than tidbits published in magazines, therefore her remarks claiming folks were damn near busting her door down to use her as Ms. Matchmaker in order to get closer to Mr. Jones is bananas. After all, I was the first blogger (yeah, I said it!) to post the excerpt that I'm sure would have gone unnoticed and/or unread by anyone had I not mentioned it here on Real Gossip 101 first. I ain't gonna even mentioned the 'Oh, no that n!ggah didn't just say that sh!t!!' attention the excerpt received when bigger blogs like Crunk & Disorderly (shout out to Fresh), Bossip picked it up and linked it back here. So, if folks did knock your door down, Ms. Jamie, it was because they read it/heard about it through Real Gossip 101 and the rest of the blogosphere first.
But we thank you so very kindly though, for supplying it and whatnot, but it really wasn't all about you, ma. :) This lady swear she knows everybody!

NEW PICS: RAPPER T.I. ATTENDS EASTER CHURCH SERVICES IN ATLANTA WITH HIS FAMILY.
Atlanta photographer and blogger Sandra Rose has exclusive pics of the rapper and his clan as they posed for pictures. According to Rose:
T.I. and his family arrived at the dome aboard his favorite mode of transportation: a special tour bus kitted out with plasma tvs. A friend who spoke with Tiny by cell phone aboard the bus could hear T.I. in the background telling his kids, “y’all gotta be good today!” Tiny promised the caller that there would be photo ops available at the dome once they arrived. “[T.I.] is expecting that,” she said. Tiny, who is 6 months pregnant with a boy, looked radiant as she patted her belly backstage at the dome. The service was very emotional and moving as T.I. took the podium to give a speech on AIDS and its effects on the black community.
T.I., whose real name is Clifford Harris, said, “We’re here to celebrate the death of our Lord and Savior,” Harris said, “he was willing to give his life for us so that we may ask for forgiveness for our sins and be forgiven and saved…no matter how many times we have to ask…or how long it takes to get it right.”

REAL GOSSIP 101'S BACK AFTER BEING HIJACKED FOR 3,5 DAYS!!
(click pic) After three and a half long days of tedious toiling and restless nights, I have been able to regain access to my site as well as some bits and pieces of my sanity! LOL!. Just in case a couple of you all were wondering, Real Gossip 101 had been idle since last Saturday (January 5th) after some unknown person decided to target me by hijacking my email and blog accounts in hopes of, I assume, to fatten their pockets. Whatever damage they have done will be handled by the appropriate authorities. I will like to take this time to apologize for any demeaning, threatening, explicit and uncouth emails and spam that any of my email contacts may have received during that four day period. I am not stranded in some foreign country and in need of $500,000 to make it back to the States.I also want to thank the folks at BlogPatrol for their unending help and support. They went beyond their limits to help me and I truly appreciate it. I also would like to thank Blogger's Blog*Stars as well as Gmail's support team. And finally I have to give a shout out to Miss Chi Chi at URBAN-HOOPLA.COM for her words of encouragement AND her patience! LOL! Thanks, ma!
As far as posting, needless to say, I'll be playing catch-up for the next couple of days. I thought I'd loose visitors during my unscheduled hiatus, but much to my surprise--and with my Blog Patrol stats account--you all continued to visit the site. So, although I couldn't post, I still knew who was coming and going as well as what they were reading. Thank God for archives, huh? I knew they'd come in handy one day! LOL!

VIVICA FOX SEX TAPE EMERGES; ACTRESS FILMED WHILE ORALLY SATISFYING AN ATLANTA MAN.
Celebrity Sex Tape-Gate continues into the new year. A list of celebrities such as Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee, Ray J. and Kim Kardashian, Jennifer Lopez, 80s actress, Jane Kennedy, Paris Hilton, Ne-Yo and O.J. Simpson have all had their sexual escapades caught on tape for the whole world to see. Now, Vivica A. Fox could be added onto that list of celebrity sexual scandals after reports of a sex tape featuring the star surfaced. Atlanta blogger SandraRose claims Fox was filmed performing oral sex on an Atlanta man who secretly shot the sex act and emailed the footage to his friends. It is claimed Fox has passed the tape on to local police, but it's unknown whether the alleged encounter is being investigated by the authorities. On her blog, Rose writes, "In the tape, an apparently inebriated Vivica can be seen on her knees servicing a male friend who surreptitiously taped the encounter on his cell phone. Allegedly the man, who lives in Atlanta, emailed the tape to friends who emailed it to Vivica. She quickly forwarded the tape to a friend at the Atlanta police department. It isn't known if Vivica filed an official complaint with the police or if she asked her police friend to handle the situation privately."

MEDIATAKEOUT.COM GETS GOTCHA'D, SERVED, OWNED, PUNK'D, EGG-FACED, ETC. AFTER POSTING BAIT/BOGUS STORY ABOUT LAUREN LONDON & JACKIE LONG.
JUST SO YALL KNOW: THIS IS A LONG (AND ENTERTAINING) READ! Can someone please be a darling of a sweetheart and kindly advise the owners of Mediatakeout.com to change their name from Red Snapper for taking the bait! LMAO! You'll understand what I mean once you finish reading this post.Ask any not-easily-fooled blog reader, industry insider (such as tmz.com), or reputable and/or credible blogger about Mediatakeout.com and nine times out of ten, they'll tell you that Mediafakeout.com is known more for posting/creating 100% fake stories about today's hottest (and not so hot) black celebrities than true and credible ones. I'm convinced Karrine Steffans was referring specifically to MediaTakeOut.com when she spoke on the rumors that she's starting a rap career. Steffans claimed, 'sub-journalistic bloggers create and spread false information daily.'
So can you imagine the utter horror that soared all up and through MediaTakeOut.com's--the self-proclaimed number one and 'Most Visited Black Website in the World'--falsified, fronting and faking the font selves once they discovered that their 'exclusive' Lauren London and Jackie Long 'story' which had been emailed (CLICK HERE TO READ BOGUS EMAIL) to them by one of their 'loyal readers' was in fact a totally bogus story planted on LipstickAlley.com--a site in which I deem to be the 'Most Visited (and Credible) Website on the Internet'--by a longtime boardmember, as bait served up just for them to pick up, post and inevitably get blasted on! Did I mention that yours truly is also a proud member of LSA?
Click picture to read text.

Before the boardmember could hit the 'submit' button, MTO took the bait, snatched it up and put their ownership on it before posting it on their website.

Mind you, just a few weeks ago, MTO is the same site who 'exclusively reported' that Serena had been knocked up by Jackie.
Soon after their posting, they were served with this notice of bogustry (that's one of my new words...don't hate! LOL!):

Finally, once they realized they'd gotten got, they posted this lame concoction to try and save face. Read highlighted text at the bottom of the screenshot:

**SPECIAL SHOUTOUT TO THAT CLEVER-ASS BOARDMEMBER FOR PUTTING THIS TOGETHER; AND TO THE LIPSTICKALLEY CREW (WHICH INCLUDES YOURS TRULY) FOR SUPPORTING IT!***
READ MORE OF THIS STORY AFTER THE JUMP AND FIND OUT WHICH CELEBS LENT A HAND IN MAKING SURE THIS HOAX WENT OFF WITHOUT A HITCH!
Up and coming bloggers, take note: when reporting a story, make sure you check, double -check then triple-check your sources. If you can't do that, never hesitate to print a retraction. It takes nothing away from you as a blogger. If anything, it makes you more reputable one. As for this particular story, I guess MTO's pride is what's keeping them from going their usual route of deleting a articles (that has proven to be true) from their database. Pretty soon, they'll be known as the blog who cried wolf.
Oh, uh, did I fail to mention that both Lauren and Jackie were in on this hoax to hogtie MediaTakeOut.com? Baby-bye! FYI: As for MTO's 'exclusive' about Kenya Moore getting married story....well, it's as false as that story on Beyonce & Jay-Z tying the knot in Paris.
Before I go, peep this video clip which has to be indicative of how MTO is feeling right about now.

KARRINE STEFFANS BLAMES 'SUB-JOURNALISTIC BLOGGERS' FOR CREATING RUMORS ABOUT HER STARTING A RAP CAREER.
I know good and well she ain't talking about me. That's for damn sure. But I bet you dollars to donuts I know what particular no-merit having website/blog she is referring to. Hmmm.Former video vixen Karrine 'Superhead' Steffans has slammed reports she is signing a deal with Eddie Murphy's record label. The former pornography actress-turned-author had been widely reported to be trying her hand at a rap career, following the success of her controversial memoirs charting her numerous sexual conquests in the hip hop world, Confessions of A Video Vixen. But in a statement released by her publicist, the 29-year-old - who tells Sister 2 Sister magazine she's 'married' to former Family Matters actor Darius McCrary - insists she has "no interest" in releasing a record and blames over-zealous internet bloggers for letting the rumor run wild.
She says, "I am not signed to any recording deal or to any other type of deal with Mr. Murphy. I am not, and have no interest in being, a musician of any kind. I am focused on my third book, upcoming magazine column, radio and reality shows. This is just another example of how these sub-journalistic bloggers create and spread false information daily. Luckily, this time it was not a hurtful rumor. I urge the general public and major news media to be skeptical of unwarranted information and take such reports with a grain of salt."

GABRIELE UNION CONTINUES HER TIRADE AGAINST BLACK BLOGGERS
While Gabrielle Union's new movie The Perfect Holiday hit rock bottom in this weekend's final box office sales, netting a measly $3.6 million since opening last Wednesday, the actress extended her cape crusade for celebrity blogger Perez Hilton and once again expressed her disdain and dislike towards Black bloggers who she says post vicious and false truths about her and other Black celebrities. And although she made some really good points, she totally missed the mark when she said Perez never dogs his fellow Latinos. But what I want to know is what's the use of continuing to exert your energy by dwelling on something when you know nine times out of ten nothing's going to change? To each his own. But still...just let it go. She spoke to vibe.com about it. Check out the excerpt below.VIBE.COM: In your recent ESSENCE.COM interview, you touched on the media, mainly black-run blogs that spread rumors without checking facts. What can these outlets do differently if they don't have you or any entertainer per se to reach out to correctly?
GABRIELLE UNION: It's like if you wrote for a major newspaper or a major magazine. If you can't substantiate your claims, you don't write them. We don't have enough black voices, [and] we certainly don't have enough people in entertainment who are trying to do good things for our community, so anytime you try to attack someone's character, you negate their voice for all the things that they're trying to do. I come out and speak about African American sexual assault survivors and what we can do to provide support and help to those survivors. I talk about African Americans and breast cancer. But people aren't going to listen to those things if you are spreading lies and rumors, you know what I mean? It kinda negates all the good things that you do. It makes me want to just work harder and do more good, but it's frustrating and it makes a lot of people in my industry say, "Screw it! If I can't even get my own people to listen and not talk ill of me, what hope do I have for mainstream media?"
Especially like... If I got arrested, say whatever you want to say. If I had kids and left them in the car while I partied, or I got out of cabs showing all my private parts, you have every right to dog me. If I came out and dogged my own people, kill me in your blogs. But don't make things up! I do enough, and if you really got spies everywhere you'd know what I was doing, you wouldn't have to make things up. And if you don't know your facts, then just don't print them.

NEW MAG SCANS/EXCERPTS: NIA LONG, SANAA LATHAN, GABRIELLE UNION DISH IT OUT IN ESSENCE MAG
By now, we have all heard Gabrielle Union bitch, whine, moan, groan and complain to Essence magazine (December 2007 issue in which she graces the cover with fellow actresses Nia Long and Sanaa Lathan) about her extreme dislike for urban entertainment news blogs which are helmed Black female bloggers. After I read the complete Essence article, I quickly realized that wasn't the only thing she and the other two women had issues with. The ladies dished on an assortment of topics. Everything from how their bank account and lifestyle doesn't mirror the financial assets gained from their most successful movies--(Sanaa said, 'These movies make so much money for these big studios. All I want is for my life to reflect this financially.')--to admitting to being jealous and envious--a.k.a hating-of other actors who snatched up a role that they felt should've been theirs to relationships with the opposite sex; as well as being labeled as trophy girls.Peep the excerpts.

PICS/MAG EXCERPT: SANAA, GABRIELLE & NIA LONG IN ESSENCE MAG; ACTRESS DISH ON BLACK BLOGGERS.
Actresses Gabrielle Union, Sanaa Lathan and Nia Long will all be featured in Essence magazine's December 2007 issue. In this issue the women opened up and then some on several topics such as the trials and tribulations that go along with being a Black woman in Hollywood, seeking meaningful acting roles, staying true themselves and last, but definitely not least: dealing with the negativity on the Internet, specifically, the rants, rumors and just plain lies that are posted on various urban entertainment blogs written by Black woman, who as Gabrielle says are quick to 'rip us to shreds every two seconds from our nose to the weave to the clothes to the shoes to the ashy ankles.'Well, I for one, am glad she isn't referring to me and mine. Let the records....and the blog post (peep the 'Hollywood Hottest Honeys...' or something like that further down on this page) show that I made a feeble attempt to post a blurb (although it was small, but at least I tried *folds arms on top of chest*) regarding Gabby's rumored shady ways with several men in the entertainment, music and sports industry.
Essence: How do you deal with the 24-hours-a-day gossip that comes out on the Internet?
Gabrielle: Just last week somebody gave me a baby. This isn’t Perez Hilton or the White gossip people, these are women of color, specifically Black women who, for whatever reason, don’t like the company I keep.
Sanaa: She’s talking about the gossip sites.
Essence: The blogs.
Sanaa: That are run by Black women.
Gabrielle: And now because everyone is clamoring for celebrity tidbits, the bigger gossip sites and even mainstream entities are picking up on it. No fact-checking, no nothing. And in one week’s time, there were like five different dudes, a baby—I’m a homewrecker. In literally seven days. I can’t point the finger at the White media. They don’t care about us. Paparazzi are not staked out in front of any of our houses. They are not going through our garbage because they don’t care about us in that way. So when you hear crap about us, it is coming from our own community, which hurts.Nia: We are some of the few Black actresses whose passions are rooted in our community.
Gabrielle: There is this idea that there is integrity in journalism; if it’s written it has to be true. But that’s not the case. When blogs or any of the magazines get it wrong, there’s no accountability. In the next breath, they’ll complain on the blogs that we don’t have enough Black stars. Well, you rip us to shreds every two seconds from our nose to the weave to the clothes to the shoes to the ashy ankles.
READ MORE WHEN THE DECEMBER 2007 ISSUE HITS NEWSTANDS NOVEMBER 19th.
And here is the rest of it.
