With all that's going on in Kevin Federline's life, his ex-girlfriend and mother of two of his four children, Shar Jackson says that the blossoming actor is doing "fabulous" and focusing on what's important. He's being daddy. You know, he can't worry about what's going on outside his household. That's the only way you can stay sane and stay focused. You just can't worry about the stuff that's going on outside your house. You have to just protect everybody inside your home and stay focused on that," she told PEOPLE magazine. As for how his boys with Britney Spears, Preston, 2, Jayden, 1, are doing, "They're good," she said. "I've always said he's an amazing father...it's just now people decide they want to listen. He's an awesome dude. He makes mistakes – people do that. It's part of life." Her relationship with Federline is good these days, she also says. "He's like my best friend."

In related news, the actress will go head-to-head on the record charts with her former Moesha castmate, Brandy, when both actresses release their solo albums this summer. In the meantime, Jackson, who just wrapped a horror movie The House that Jack Built, explained that she's "working ... trying to stay busy" and maintains her recent fit and glowing appearance by simply not letting things get to her. "I just decided to be happy regardless of anything. If I'm having a bad day, whatever, I'll get over it. Just be happy," she says.

BRITNEY SPEARS TO HAVE A LOS ANGELES LAW NAMED AFTER HER.

California officials are putting the smack down on those pesky paparazzi folks. And it's all because of Britney Spears. The tormented singer may have a new law in Los Angeles named after her - because it was her $24,000 police escort to hospital last month which prompted councilmen to propose the amendment. The troubled pop star was taken from her Coldwater Canyon home to UCLA Medical Center on January 31, in an ambulance with a motorcade from the Los Angeles Police Department. The job of the motorcade, which included more than 20 police officers, a helicopter and a team of intervention specialists, was to block off traffic ahead and behind the ambulance carrying Spears to hospital, and to keep the paparazzi at bay.

The move has inspired L.A. City Councilman Dennis P. Zine to propose a safety zone be set up to protect areas around celebrities, hospitals, traffic, businesses and homes. The bill also suggests all members of the paparazzi get licenses to take photographs in the protected zones - with those breaking the law having their license revoked and royalties from the picture confiscated. He says, "The straw that broke the camel's back (idea that prompted the law) is the $24,000 we spent to escort an L.A. City ambulance to the hospital. I'm not infringing upon the right to take a picture. I'm concerned about the impact they have on the general public."

Councilmen will vote on whether to adopt the new 'Britney Law' on March 1, 2008.

BRITNEY SPEARS' MOM ON HER RECENT ALLEGED SUICIDE ATTEMPT: 'BRITNEY IS FINE.'

It seems as if there was some unnecessary urgency in a phone call Lynne Spears received Wednesday night around 10:15 pm PT -- Lynne Spears was worried that her daughter, Britney Spears, had attempted suicide. Lynne Spears had arrived at the house, rushing there after receiving an urgent phone call from someone inside Britney's home -- possibly from Britney herself--but now she has told X17online that "Britney is fine." Wednesday night emergency services surrounded Britney Spears' Los Angeles mansion, with website X17online reporting the troubled star may have attempted to commit suicide. Police, paramedics and U.S. rangers were also seen entering the stars' luxury compound and opening the property's fire gates. The singer's Beverly Hills home is under the spotlight of a news helicopter and paparazzi from all over the city have flocked to the gates of her estate.

Britney's longtime companion/manager Sam Lutfi says "everything is fine." He did not elaborate on the supposed suicide attempt nor did he go into any detail about Britney's current state. What also isn't clear is why police arrived at Britney's home around 10 pm and cordoned off Britney's home and placed themselves at the gate to Brit's neighborhood.

SHAR JACKSON SHARES HER 2 PENNIES ON BRITNEY'S RECENT MELTDOWN; GIVES BRITNEY MATERNAL ADVICE.

Shar Jackson says her ex, Kevin Federline, is holding up well during the ordeal with Britney Spears. "He's good," Jackson, 31, told PEOPLE on Thursday at the GBK luxury suite in the Beverly Hills Thompson Hotel. "I talked to him the other night and he's fine. He's just happy that the boys are safe. That's his biggest thing, making sure that the boys are in a good place and that they're happy. And they're happy.” Federline, 29, now has sole legal and physical custody of his sons with ex-wife Spears – Preston, 2, Jayden, 1 – following the pop singer's meltdown.

A hearing is set for Monday on whether to resume Spears's visitation rights. Jackson, who has two children with Federline – Kori, 5, Kaleb, 3 – has remained close to her former boyfriend, speaking with him "all the time," she says. Jackson says that for the sake of the boys Spears should focus on her own needs right now. "I'm just one of those people that believe you need to take care of yourself before you can take care of anybody else," Jackson says. "My only advice would be take care of yourself. If you need help for whatever reason, go get it. Do whatever you have to do for those babies."

But Brown insists his own battles with drugs show how fame can cause stars to meltdown. He says, "She's a special artist and people should treat her like a special artist. She's a very beautiful girl. I'm a perfect example of how this business can mess with your head. Just let that girl live for a minute."

R&B superstar Mary J. Blige has also spoken out in support of the troubled singer because she knows what it's like to be constantly followed by the tabloid trouble. She should have done it after the last album." But a representative for Banks' reality show, America's Next Top Model, has dismissed the claims, branding them "absolutely not true". And Banks was so appalled at the reports, she has issued her own statement hitting out at the media spin. She says, "Britney is a friend and we correspond with each other. These alleged statements are completely false."

Britney Spears is reportedly pregnant for the third time, and the singer is confessing all on a private MySpace page. According to Star magazine, someone claiming to be Spears made the revelation on the social networking website. The site includes private family pictures of the star and her family and a sonogram dated 14 November (07), as well as a message that reads, "Yes, I am pregnant and I am shocked, almost 4 weeks to be exact. I don't really know if I'm happy or sad. I am happy I guess. I saw the ultrasound and it was really kewl (sic)." Spears says she is sure that the father is J.R. Rotem, a music producer she's been seeing on and off since she separated from ex-husband Kevin Federline in 2006.

When asked about the pregnancy, J.R. confirmed exclusively to In Touch magazine that Britney is carrying his child. "It's true," he says. For all her recent troubles, she seems convinced that having another baby will turn her life around — and she believes that J.R. will make a great father, even though he explicitly talked about their sex life in Blender magazine earlier this year. The publication, which features new photos clearly showing Spears with what looks like a baby bump is on news stands now.

In related news, Federline has been given a boost in the midst of his child custody trial with Spears - he has been named the seventh most-influential man under 45 in Hollywood in a new magazine poll. BRITNEY SPEARS MAY BE INVESTIGATED FOR CHILD ABUSE

LOS ANGELES - As Britney Spears and Kevin Federline continue their heated custody battle, have allegations of child abuse entered the fray? Access Hollywood has learned attorneys for both sides were present at a hearing Monday in dependency court, which handles child abuse claims, among other things. Access has learned Monday’s matter takes precedence in their ongoing custody battle, with all other issues being put on hold.

If the county feels the kids are at risk, they will begin an investigation. If they find either or both parents aren’t capable or unwilling to parent the children, the county will file a petition in juvenile court, Los Angeles criminal defense attorney Steve Cron told Access. If that happens, Britney and Kevin would be allowed a “full blown” hearing where they can bring witnesses and experts to testify on their behalf. The judge would then decide if the county needs to step in, possibly taking over custody over the kids, according to Cron.

However, all details from within dependency court are confidential and at this time, it is unknown if the concern is over one or both parents.

Meanwhile, over the weekend, Spears was pulled over in Los Angeles for speeding. However, after a brief conversation, she was let off with just a warning after reportedly telling highway patrol officers she was speeding because she was being chased by the paparazzi.
