COMEDIAN/ACTOR JOHN WITHERSPOON TO RELEASE HIS FIRST HIP-HOP/COMEDY ALBUM, '63 CENTS.'

Comedian John 'You Got to Coor-dinate' Witherspoon is preparing to release his new Hip-Hop/Comedy album comically titled 63 Cents. The 'BAM, BAM, BAM!' actor-turned-rapper's album will be available on iTunes soon and will be listed under both genres, the accomplished television and film actor told AllHipHop.com in a new interview. Featuring songs like Don’t Nobody Go In The Bathroom (For About 35-45 Minutes), and Dance Now With Your Big Ole Ass, Witherspoon takes credit for writing the majority of the lyrics on the new project. Also contributing to the album is the Detroit-born comedian’s brother Ron, who produced three tracks on 63 Cents and rapper Big K.

Despite previous collaborations in movies and videos with Kid-N-Play, Ice Cube, Jay-Z and others, don’t expect any guest appearances or even a stellar performance, Witherspoon warns. “It’s just me,” Witherspoon told AllHipHop.com in a recent interview. “It may not be the best rappin’ in the world, but it’s funny as hell. Very entertaining.” Excuse me yall, but I can barely type because I keep laughing so damn hard at the very thought of old dude having the gall to even record a rap album! What frightens me even more is the fact that I wouldn't mind listening to it! But I'll digress....Anyhoo, Witherspoon will personally fund at least two videos from the new album, one for Dance, and the other for Don’t Be P*ssy Whipped (Whip that P*ssy!).

Perhaps best known for his turn as cantankerous patriarch Mr. Jones in the Friday trilogy, Witherspoon has appeared in several urban classics, including Boomerang, Hollywood Shuffle, House Party and I’m Gonna Git You Sucka. He also has roles in cult classic Hip-Hop films (which ain't have no business being released in theaters, video rental stores or online) like I Got The Hook Up and Soul Plane. His even lengthier television credits include appearances on TV shows like 227, Amen, Barnaby Jones, Good Times, What’s Happenin’, and of course his four year run on The Wayans Brothers as John “Pops” Williams. Most recently, Witherspoon voiced the character of Robert “Grandad” Freeman on Adult Swim’s popular series The Boondocks, based on the highly-acclaimed comic strip of the same name.

“I relate to the younger people because those movies and TV shows kind of stop your aging,” Witherspoon said of his most recent body of work. “I’m still like a young person on those projects.” Witherspoon’s first hour-long stand up special, You Got To Coordinate, which premiered on Showtime in March, is currently available in DVD and CD format, as well as on iTunes.

YOUNG JEEZY TO STAR ALONGSIDE ICE CUBE, MIKE EPPS & TERRY CREWS IN NEW COMEDY FILM, 'JANKY PROMOTERS.'

Rapper Young Jeezy will make his acting debut, starring as himself, in the new Ice Cube comedy film Janky Promoters which will be distributed by Dimension Films. The rapper, real name Jay Jenkins, will join Cube and actors Mike Epps, Terry Crews, Lil JJ and Page Kennedy in the film, about a pair of shady concert promoters (Cube & Epps) who get the chance to book a top-tier hip-hop artist into a midsized California venue. The pair are ill equipped for such a task and everything goes wrong. According to critics, the film fits the urban niche that Cube has hit in the Friday and Barbershop series and films like First Sunday. As a matter of fact, Janky Promoters, which is currently filming in Los Angeles, is the first script that Ice Cube has written since the final installment of his Friday series.

"This feels a lot like Uptown Saturday Night to me, a caper film where you have these music promoters who are slightly shady but are good enough guys that you root for them," Dimension Films Bob Weinstein told Daily Variety. "This is going to be R-rated, and it appeals right to the core of Cube's audience." Cube, who will produce the film with Cube Vision partner Matt Alvarez, took less money upfront but will partner with Dimension on the proceeds after recoupment on a budget likely to be about $10 million. "He's producing the movie, sharing in the funding, so it's more complicated than previous deals we've made with Cube. He's a brand, like Tyler Perry, and that's the direction he's headed in. We're happy to assist him in that because we believe in him," says Weinstein.

The movie will be directed by Friday After Next filmmaker Marcus Raboy.

BEHIND-THE-SCENE PICS FROM THE GAME'S 'PAIN' (FEAT. KEYSHIA COLE) VIDEOSHOOT.

Below you'll find new behind-the-scene pics of The Game & Keyshia Cole on the set of his new video, Pain/LAX which was shot in the hood of Crenshaw last week. Pain/L.A.X. (featuring Keyshia Cole) is the second single from The Game's third and most likely final studio album, L.A.X., due in stores on July 8, 2008. According to reports, the rapper has made plans to spend his retirement time developing the artists and producers signed to his label, Black Wall Street and to also "dive head first into scripts" since he had such a good experience on the set of the movie Street Kings, which starred Forrest Whittaker and Keanu Reeves. "Everybody was real professional and respected me and I was always punctual, on time, respected everybody and didn't bring my rapping ego over to the film side," said Game. "I did my thing and they appreciated me and I appreciated them. And Street Kings movie was pretty dope" Even though Game is planning to take the acting world by storm, he doesn't plan on taking any classes. "I'm just a natural," he says. "I don't really need no classes. I want to be like the guy that never took classes and won and Oscar."

The Game's L.A.X. will feature production by Kanye West, Cool and Dre, Just Blaze and appearances by Common, Ludacris, Ne-Yo, Raekwon, Busta Rhymes, Marsha Ambrosius of Floetry.

NEW PICS: CAN YOU SAY INKED UP 'FANATIC'? KATT WILLIAMS & ICE CUBE CAN.

Rapper/actor Ice Cube was left speechless recently - when he met a fan with his name tattooed on his face. The frightened star decided it was probably best not to ask why the man had decided to have 'Ice Cube' permanently inked on his forehead. Cube says, "I met a fan that had my name tattooed on their forehead. I was pretty much speechless. I wanted to ask them why they'd do that, but then I thought it would just open up a big old can of worms. It scared me." BLOGGER'S NOTE: Sorry folks. There isn't a picture. You're just gonna have to take Cube's word for it.

In related news, no one can tell Katt Williams he's skimpin' on his pimpin'. He recently discovered that he too has a fan who didn't mind inking up her back in honor of his pint-size highness. After his stand-up comedy show at the South Beach Comedy Festival in Miami Beach last Thursday, Williams was photographed outside of his tour bus with an unidentified woman who proudly (well, I guess you really can't say 'proudly' considering the fact that she didn't show her face) donned a large tattoo of the comedian on her upper-left side of her back. But she wrong as hell for putting that ashy-ass elbow of hers on display though. That is not the business nor is it a good look. It ain't like it's cold down there in Miami. Peep the pics below.
