WOMAN FIGHTS TO KEEP HER YOUTUBE VIDEO OF SON DANCING TO PRINCE SONG ONLINE.

When I read the following story, I automatically thought about my best friend Kamika. She's one of Prince's BIGGEST fans ever! I can also picture her filming her son (and my Godson *waving* Hey, Levy!!) getting his groove on to one of Prince's hit songs....that's only if Levy couldn't talk her into filming him doing his very own rendition of Usher's Yeah. LOL! Anyhoo, according to web reports, Stephanie Lenz is still entangled in a court battle with Universal Music Publishing over copyright infringement after she posted a 30-second clip of her baby dancing to Prince's Let's Go Crazy on YouTube. In February 2007, Lenz uploaded the short film of her unnamed son to the video sharing site, only to have it removed four months later after infringement complaints from Universal, which owns rights to publish the song. Lenz, who said she posted the clip so that friends and family members could see her son, successfully applied to have the video reinstated, triggering a lengthy legal battle in the federal courts in California. Universal argues that it was entitled to send YouTube a takedown notice under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, because the use of Prince's material was "not authorized by the copyright owner." But Lenz, backed by digital rights lobby group the Electronic Frontier Foundation, is seeking a judgment that the video is covered by "fair use" provisions in copyright law, as well as unspecified damages.

PEEP THE VIDEO CLIP BELOW.

NE-YO ON HIS LAWSUIT AGAINST R. KELLY: 'I'M NOT GONNA DO A DIS RECORD ABOUT HIM...IT'S APPARENT HE HAS A PROBLEM WITH ME.'

R. Kelly has caught hell something proper-like this past week. R&B singer Ne-Yo is refusing to dwell on his public spat with R. Kelly, choosing to let his legal representatives tackle the issues. Kelly kicked Ne-Yo off his recent tour amid reports the headliner didn't like the way the Grammy award winner was stealing his limelight. But Ne-Yo is now keen to move past the controversy and concentrate his efforts on his songwriting. He tells MTV News, "That's something that my management and my lawyers are doing. Me personally? I've let it go. I'm not the hold-a-grudge guy. I'm not gonna see R. Kelly in the street and run up on him and swing on him. I'm not gonna do a dis record about R. Kelly. It was what it was. It happened. For whatever reason, he...felt threatened by me and kicked me off tour. Life goes on. I don't have a problem with the man. It's apparent he has a problem with me."

DUMB-DUMB DIDDY TO BE OFFICIALLY CHARGED WITH ASSAULT, SAYS POLICE

Hopefully, this monkey dog of a man will learn soon enough that he can not live by the Burger King motto. Diddy, you can't have it your way. And what makes this situation so messed up is the fact that this isn't his first time he's laid his hands on someone. He must be itching to join Foxy up on Riker's Island because I swear this niggah stay mad.

Police sources tell the New York Post that Sean "Diddy" Combs will be charged with assault after he allegedly punched an acquaintance of 13 years in the face at a SoHo night club. Diddy skipped a scheduled meeting with police Tuesday afternoon as his lawyer released a statement saying that he would not be arrested. At the time, Diddy was meeting with the victim at Butter nightclub to try and work things out without criminal charges being filed. But the victim, 31-year-old Steven Acevedo, said their lil pow wow did nothing to change his mind about moving forward with the case. In fact, when asked point blank if they had resolved the matter, Acevedo told the Post, "Definitely not" before slowly drawing his finger across his throat – the universal gesture of doom.

As previously reported, Acevedo says Diddy punched him in the face during an altercation – not at Kiosk as originally reported, but at the exclusive nightspot Upstairs, according to the Post. The dispute was allegedly over a blonde woman that Diddy escorted to the Cannes Film Festival last summer and that Acevedo had dated. Sources tell The Post that Acevedo and Diddy, 37, have known each other from the hip-hop club scene for at least 13 years.
