NEW PICS: MEET THE CAST OF THE 3rd SEASON OF VH1'S 'FLAVOR OF LOVE 3.' PREMIERES MONDAY, FEBRUARY 11, 2008.
Anyway, check out the faces and aliases of the 20 girls who should not only receive a clock (cause Lord knows they don't know what time it is) but also be clocked dead in the face for putting themselves on national television to make fools out of themselves. As I perused through each girl's stats list, I thought to myself, 'this season may be just a wee bit better than the previous two. While there are some girls whose jobs hold such titles as waitress a.k.a. 'Hooters' girl and full time baby mamas, there are other women who actually have career-type jobs such as 22-year old 'Saint Lewis.' She not only works as a hair stylist...but she also happens to own her salon. And New York native, 'Bee Ex' who works as an IT consultant as well as a promotional model. Then you have 'Grayve', a 25-year-old real estate company owner from Holcomb, Mississippi. But what will definitely put a twist on this season's Flavor of Love is the set of identical twins, 'Thing 1' and 'Thing 2'
Flavor of Love 3 premieres Monday, February 11 at 9pm on VH1.

J. DUPRI'S DAD TURNS SCREAM TOUR SUCCESS INTO A MEDIA EMPIRE; DR. JAN ADAMS SAYS HIS MEDICAL PRACTICE IS 'NEARLY DESTROYED' FOLLOWING WEST'S DEATH.
Jermaine Dupri's father, Michael Mauldin, announced Wednesday (January 23) his plans to launch a label based on the popular Scream Tour, which was headed up by T.I. and Ciara last year under the banner Screamfest '07. Mauldin has also announced that R U The Next SCREAM Star? will be coming to a city near you in search of music’s next superstar. R U The Next SCREAM Star? is a national talent contest that aims to discover and establish unsigned artists; molding their dreams into reality. Male and female contestants aged 13-25 within the genres of Hip-Hop, R&B and Pop will compete for the opportunity to receive a recording contract with SCREAM Star Entertainment / Atlantic Records, and a management contract with Mauldin Brand Agency. When considering the enormous success the SCREAM Tour concert series has had and the amazing showcase from an A-list of performers, why not give undiscovered talent with extreme ambition a chance to shine? The Atlantic Records-distributed Scream Star Entertainment will also feature a revamped Web site, ScreamStar.com, which is set to include video highlights from each Scream tour, featuring the likes of Omarion, Ne-Yo and Bow Wow. Last year's monumental New York stop — which saw Jay-Z, Diddy and Kanye West join T.I. onstage — will also be included in the Scream Tour Anthology that's scheduled to go live on the site later this week. ...Posted by SouthernGurl at 1:52 AM 1 Comment

DIDDY IS STILL DIDDY; REP SAYS REPORTS OF THE MOGUL CHANGING HIS NAME ARE FALSE.
For some reason, I hate doing retractions, but in this case, I must. I guess Diddy just wanted to create a bit of a buzz before the new season premiere of Making the Band 4 Season 2: Battle of the Sexes, which is scheduled to air next Monday (January 28). Anyway, despite widespread reports that the millionaire media mogul had changed his (nick)name to Sean John, his rep clarified the situation to MTV News on Thursday (January 24). "Recent reports of a name change are totally false, he is still Diddy," the rep wrote. "He is currently in 'Sean John' mode as the upcoming Sean John fashion show is scheduled for February 8 in New York." Earlier this week it was reported that the 38 year-old rapper/mogul/actor had changed his stage moniker for the fifth or sixth time (depending on who you ask) since starting out in the music industry nearly two decades ago.In the past, Combs has been referred to as Puff Daddy, Puff, Puffy and P. Diddy, before shortening it to Diddy in 2005.

SHAQ'S FINANCIAL STATS EXPOSED TO THE PUBLIC; BALLER EARNS ABOUT $2 MILLION A MONTH; DOLES OUT $22 G'S ON MONTHLY MAID SERVICE & $1,500 ON CABLE..
WHAT KIND OF DISH NETWORK, COMCAST, DIRECT TV AND/OR ANY OTHER TV CABLE PACKAGE HAS YOU SHELLING OUT $1,500.OO A MONTH?!!! ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU'RE BARELY HOME, IS WHAT I WANT TO KNOW!! But I'll digress....for now.Everybody knows that Shaquille O'Neal
And here's what really puts the lid on the jar: The $114,946 that's listed as "miscellaneous (personal)" -- for us common folk, miscellaneous can be anything from lunch money, feeding the meter, catching a cab, buying groceries, getting your car washed or even pampering yourself--whether it's shopping for a new pair of shoes, treating yourself to a movie or a new DVD, getting mani/pedi once every two weeks...you know...that's how we common folk spend our miscellaneous funds--but for folks like Shaq, I'm willing to bet the backyard (or is it farm?) 'miscellaneous,' could easily mean having a little 'pocket' money to drive up to the Benz dealership and cop a S600 series coupe without having to have to write a check for it. Lucky, wealthy bastard! LOL! It must be nice!

RUMOR OR REAL: SUGE KNIGHT AND PIRU GANG MEMBERS BANNED FROM COMPTON?
Seeking to further curb criminal activities, Compton has asked a judge to ban individuals identified as members of the Mob Piru street gang -- including rap mogul Marion "Suge" Knight -- from congregating in a northeast neighborhood. Using a strategy employed by other crime-ridden communities, the court order would be the first gang injunction in a city with a long history of battling street gangs. Authorities contend that the Mob Piru gang has terrorized the neighborhood for years, with buying and selling of drugs, discharging firearms, robbing and assaulting residents and by creating an atmosphere of fear and intimidation. For the last two years, a Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department gang task force has worked to get gang members off the streets with aggressive enforcement of immigration, housing and parole violations. "We've done it without an injunction," said Lt. Paul Pietrantoni, who heads the task force. "We have the lowest murder rate in 20 years in Compton. The injunction is just going to give us one more tool." But the proposed injunction is expected to be controversial because community leaders and others say it opens the door to police harassment of innocent residents. Knight, who is listed as a defendant, dismissed the injunction as "a publicity stunt."
"This is crazy," said Knight, co-founder of Death Row Records. "I'm a 42-year-old businessman, not a gang member. I don't even live in Compton anymore...This injunction names people who are already in jail -- and at least one guy who is long dead."

YING YANG TWINS TO VISIT THE DR. PHIL SHOW TO DISCUSS (OR DEFEND?) THE ISSUE OF WEARING SAGGY PANTS IN PUBLIC.
The issue of urban youth donning their sagging pants in public will be discussed before a nationwide audience. Community organization Hip Hop Government (www.hiphopgovernment.org) has expanded its "Pull 'Em Up" billboard campaign to additional cities in the Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex and is taking the campaign national. The organization's co-founders Jay Scroggins, Damon Wofford, and Chris Williams have been invited to appear on Dr. Phil's talk show, which will bring the anti-sagging campaign to a national audience when the show airs later this month. Dallas Deputy Pro Tem Mayor Dwaine Caraway, the Rev. Al Sharpton and rap duo Kaine and D-Roc of the Ying Yang twins will also make an appearance. I don't even think I want to watch that episode! LOL!The featured guests were invited to discuss the controversial topic of whether government should regulate the way people wear their clothes and will also discuss hip hop artists accepting responsibility for the effect of their music and lyrics on the hip hop culture. "We are excited for the opportunity to address issues that concern our culture," expressed Williams. "Too often, when members of the hip hop community are in the media, it's for something negative. It feels good to know that we are being invited because we are recognized for our positive contributions to the community."
