NEW PICS: JENNIFER HUDSON (& HER FAMILY) PULLED A PRANK ON THE PRYING PAPARAZZI.

Since becoming a celebrity and an Academy Award winner, Jennifer is no stranger to the prying eyes of the paparazzi who go out of their way to follow her every move. You would think they'd be respective enough to stay away from her at this turbulent time in her life...but as usual they treated her current circumstances with little thought. So much so, Jennifer and her family were nearly forced to devise a plan to pull a prank on the paps. According to blogger Sandra Rose (sandrarose.com):

It all began when Jennifer’s security detail called ahead to officials at the Cook County medical examiner’s office to alert them that Jennifer and her family were on their way to identify the body of her 7-year-old nephew. At the appointed hour, two black SUV’s pulled out of the parking garage of the Chicago Trump Tower hotel followed by a convoy of paparazzi. The trucks split up with most of the paps following the truck with the police escort.

As it turned out, that truck contained a family member acting as a decoy for Jennifer Hudson. When the truck returned to the hotel, the woman got out of the truck and triumphantly pulled off her wig to the delight of other family members.

Now before anyone gets up in arms about the hotel being mentioned in the article, let me just say that maybe, just maybe there is a strong possibility that this was all a part of the plan from the beginning. So please don't beat me (or Sandra) up about it. For all we know, Jennifer could be in seclusion anywhere else BUT the Trump Towers. Besides, what would be the point of having a decoy (which turned out to be Jennifer & Julia's half-sister Dinah) leave the same location where you're resting your head at?

CANDID PICS: HALLE BERRY OUT & ABOUT IN HOLLYWOOD HILLS; ACTRESS TO SUE PAPARAZZI OVER PHOTOS OF DAUGHTER.

Halle Berry was spotted by the paparazzi leaving a friend's house in Hollywood Hills last Thursday. If she looks a bit pissed off in these pictures she has a right too. Most of the images of Halle I post on this blog are candid shots of her out and about doing the things some of us do everyday: shopping, exercising, visiting friends, going to work, etc. Needless to say Berry seldom had no problem with the paparazzi following her every move; she of all people know it comes with the territory of being a well-known celebrity. However, now that she's become a mother to a beautiful 4-month old baby girl who can't make decisions on her own, things have changed. What she once considered a pesky nuisance has now become an itch on her ass that she can't reach. According to the Associated Press, Berry is so livid that members of the paparazzi took it upon themselves to trespass onto her private property to snap photos (before posting them on the Internet and in two celebrity magazines) of her holding her daughter Nahla in her backyard, that she is now fighting back and filing a lawsuit against the photographers in an effort to protect her daughter.

"The paparazzi have gone too far," Berry said in a statement to The Associated Press. Berry disputes the notion that the photos were taken when she was "out and about in Los Angeles." Evan Spiegel, an attorney representing Berry, said a criminal complaint has been filed and an investigation is under way. He said there are witnesses who saw the photographers in the middle of a "very blatant and invasive trespass." Besides pursuing criminal charges against the photographer, Berry is seeking to get the photos removed from the Web. In her statement, Berry said she will never sell pictures of her children. "I have long since come to terms with the fact that choosing a career as an actress has made me a public figure, but my baby has made no such choice, and unless and until she does, I will do everything I can ... to keep her out of the public eye," the statement read.

The photos, some of which have blurred leaves in the foreground, show Berry holding her daughter, standing near a table in what appears to be a private backyard. Berry's mother is also in some of the pictures. Berry said she wants anyone who used the photos to know they were illegally obtained.

"If you're nice to them, then they'll be nice to you. If you treat them with respect and like normal human beings--because that's what they are--then they're going to treat you, to a certain degree, the same way. Say you come out of the club, or say you're walking down the street and you're just not having a good day. If I know one of them, which I happen to know a couple of them, I just say, 'Hey, I'm not having a good day today,' or 'I'm just not feeling good; please don't take a picture of me today, please,' or whatever, and they just say, 'Oh, okay, Megan.'... I think [some of them are like piranhas], but I think that some of it is motivated by the fact that they may just be trying to get a picture. They don't want anything in particular. They may be trying to get a regular picture of you not doing anything, walking down the street, pumping some gas, and because you run away from them, or you're like get out of my face, you're this, you're that, that's when they are like, 'Oh, okay, screw me? No, screw you. I'm going to get my picture. I don't care if I have to follow you around the corner in my car!' And I think that motivates some of it. Either way it goes, it's an invasion of privacy, but a certain amount does come with the territory. I'm not saying that it's right, but I have found that when I'm nice to them, and I just give them a shot, or even if I just talk to them a little bit, they're cool with me."

BRITNEY SPEARS TO HAVE A LOS ANGELES LAW NAMED AFTER HER.

California officials are putting the smack down on those pesky paparazzi folks. And it's all because of Britney Spears. The tormented singer may have a new law in Los Angeles named after her - because it was her $24,000 police escort to hospital last month which prompted councilmen to propose the amendment. The troubled pop star was taken from her Coldwater Canyon home to UCLA Medical Center on January 31, in an ambulance with a motorcade from the Los Angeles Police Department. The job of the motorcade, which included more than 20 police officers, a helicopter and a team of intervention specialists, was to block off traffic ahead and behind the ambulance carrying Spears to hospital, and to keep the paparazzi at bay.

The move has inspired L.A. City Councilman Dennis P. Zine to propose a safety zone be set up to protect areas around celebrities, hospitals, traffic, businesses and homes. The bill also suggests all members of the paparazzi get licenses to take photographs in the protected zones - with those breaking the law having their license revoked and royalties from the picture confiscated. He says, "The straw that broke the camel's back (idea that prompted the law) is the $24,000 we spent to escort an L.A. City ambulance to the hospital. I'm not infringing upon the right to take a picture. I'm concerned about the impact they have on the general public."

Councilmen will vote on whether to adopt the new 'Britney Law' on March 1, 2008.

BEYONCE'S ON UNWANTED MEDIA ATTENTION; STAR SAYS, 'SOMETIMES I WANT TO CRY...SOMETIMES I WANNA CURSE PEOPLE OUT.

Multiple Grammy Award-winning singer and actress Beyonce Knowles sometimes becomes so upset by unwanted media speculation about her private life she wants to "kill somebody". The R&B goddess admits she has learned to live with being a paparazzi target. Earlier this year, Knowles told Vibe magazine, "Everybody messes with celebrities. At a point, you just have to decide if you really want it. If you do, you have to have a tough skin. And after you get a certain amount of success, you have no choice. Either you're gonna turn to other things to take away the pain you feel, or you have to deal with it and move on.

"If it's something about my sister or my nephew or it's something evil, then yes, I'm upset. I wanna kill somebody. If it's a rumor that's vindictive, or something harmful, or something everybody's believing that is completely not true, then it's frustrating because there's nothing you can do about it. If someone misquotes you, or says some complete lie, and then they go back and retract that, people still don't believe you didn't say it. So sometimes it hurts. Sometimes I wanna cry. Sometimes I wanna scream. Sometimes I wanna curse people out."

Well, maybe if she gave her hired candid pic-taking photogs some time off, she wouldn't have to worry about her private life being intruded upon while she and her Boo are 'just yachting off the island hopping off Amalfi coast' and whatnot.
