NEW LEAKED MUSIC FROM WHITNEY HOUSTON, 'LIKE I NEVER LEFT' FEATURING ANNOYING-ASS AKON.

Over the past year or so it's been reported that Whitney Houston was busy slaving away in a recording studio preparing for her first album in five years. Over the weekend, one of Whitney's tracks from her untitled cd made its way onto the Internet. Titled Like I Never Left, the leaked love song runs three minutes and 39 seconds and is produced by R&B singer Akon, who also appears on the track. I want you to love me like I never left, Houston croons in the song. In one verse, the Grammy winner sings the apt line: Yes, your girl is coming back. The long-awaited LP, her first since bouncing back from substance-abuse issues and a rocky divorce from Bobby Brown, is expected to be released this fall. Below is video footage (from this month, July 6th to be exact) of Whitney performing LIVE in Kazakhstan. And judging by the video, it sounds as if she may have gained at least some of her vocal strength back. Not much, but enough for the time being. Then again, I could just be tone-deaf. Although unfortunately we may never hear her belt out her most strongest vocal hit, I Will Always Love You. That ship has sailed on to its salvation folks. Judge for yourself.

I ain't finished. 44-year-old Whit the cougar was recently spotted by tmz.com cameras as she and her boy toy Ray J., 17 years her junior, cuddled and kissed in the backseat of a car. Click here to view video footage.

A couple of weeks ago I found a throwback issue of Essence magazine featuring Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown on the cover of its February 1996 issue with a caption that read: Loving Against the Odds. The love was real back in those days, yall! I had to remind myself to breathe when I first laid eyes on these beautiful images! They looked so normal, healthy, clean-cut and dare I say--sober and in their right mind--back then, didn't they? Who would've ever thought this couple would go from what you see in these pictures to becoming the R&B modern-day version of In Living Color's Ceephus and Reecie.

WHITNEY WOWS LONDON AUDIENCE WITH SPECTACULAR PERFORMANCE...INCLUDING A DUET WITH DAUGHTER BOBBI KRISTINA.

Whitney Houston pulled a Marilyn Monroe (Monroe had to have the lyrics to the Happy Birthday song taped to a podium during her serenade to President Kennedy) before a recent comeback concert in London when she had the lyrics to her hit songs taped to her dressing room wall for fear of forgetting the words once she began her performance. The singer stepped onto the stage at the Caudwell Children Legends Ball on last Thursday evening (5.08.2008), where she stunned the packed venue with her greatest hits. And Houston, who is set for a career revival with a new album later this year (08), was determined not to make a mistake during the performance. So the When You Believe hitmaker asked for the words to all the songs to be printed out and displayed in her dressing room - so she could memorize them thoroughly before going onstage. A source tells British newspaper the Daily Mirror, "Whitney was really nervous before her set. She didn't make any diva demands, and was polite to everyone. She spent 45 minutes reading the lyrics, mouthing the words and holding her hands as if in prayer." And the hard work paid off as the superstar went on to wow the crowd with a flawless performance.

Afterwards, the singer wowed the audience again when she brought out her 15-year-old daughter Bobbi Kristina to sing a duet with her. Audience members tell People.com Houston "looked and sounded amazing" - and they were stunned when she brought Bobbi Kristina onstage to perform My Love is Your Love together. Just last week, The National Enquirer claimed the teenager was hospitalized in February (2008) after attacking her mother and attempting suicide. The gig is the latest step in Houston's comeback - following a battle with drug addiction and a messy divorce from Bobby Brown. She is working on a new album with former mentor Clive Davis - and Kelly Rowland insists problems in the past shouldn't count against her, telling People.com before the London gig, "People should not judge her. She's done more than prove herself."

REAL OR RUMOR: WHITNEY & BOBBY'S DAUGHTER, BOBBI KRISTINA ATTEMPTS SUICIDE.

According to the National Enquirer, Bobbi Kristina, 15-year-old daughter of Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown, tried to kill herself by slashing her wrists with a razor blade after attempting to stab her mother during a heated argument. These actions eventually (and allegedly) landed the teen in a psychiatric ward in Atlanta, sources said. Ann Davis, a family member exclusively told The National Enquirer, that a few days before Bobbi's 15th birthday party that Kristina "tried to stab Whitney" before turning the razor on herself. Davis confided that part of Kristina's problem is that she doesn't want to live with Whitney."

WHITNEY HOUSTON BOMBS IN TOBAGO....AFTER BEING PAID $3 MILLION TO PERFORM AT THE PLYMOUTH JAZZ FESTIVAL.

Has Whitney Houston lost that melodic singing voice of hers forever? Maybe. According to AOL Blackvoices columnist Jawn Murray, Houston disappointed a sold-out crowd who came to see a rare performance by the trouble-prone singer at the Plymouth Jazz Festival in Tobago on Sunday, April 27. The Greatest Love of All singer performed on the last night of the festival, just before headliner Rod Stewart took the stage. Houston opened her show with Its Not Right, But Its Okay and by her third song, Saving All My Love, the once soprano's newfound tenor tone was in full rasp. Delivering only seven songs during her 30 minute set, Houston was reportedly paid a whopping $3 million for the show. Though journalists were flown in from all over the world, Houston refused to allow media and photographers within 200 feet of the stage. She brought her own photographer to the venue and only he was allowed to shoot her performance. Wearing a white gown with a single shoulder strap, Houston skipped around the stage and continuously shouted to the crowd: "I love you Trinidad !' Unfortunately, the concert was in Tobago!

Locals shouted back each time: "This is Tobago!"

The 44-year-old music icon ambitiously attempted And I'll Always Love You, however she struggled through the build up and knew better than attempt the high finish. She bowed and then squatted after her pseudo-encore of Chaka Khan's I'm Every Woman, which Houston also recorded for 'The Bodyguard' soundtrack.

Tracey 'I'm single again' Edmonds was all smiles as she left the Foxtail Club last Friday night. Coincidentally, Eddie Murphy's ex-girlfriend and mother of his youngest child, Melanie Brown, was also there with her husband, Stephen Belafonte. Talk about having the last laugh! That whole karma thing ain't no joke.

In true diva fashion, the mother/daughter team donned Jackie-O shades while yipping and yapping on their cell phones. RAY J. SICK AND TIRED OF HEARING BOBBY'S BITCHING REMARKS ABOUT HIM.

Ever wondered what it sounds like to read two men going at each other's throat like a couple of bitch-made females? If not, then here it is. Brandy's baby brother Ray J., has responded to the snide-ass remarks Bobby Brown has made about him regarding his relationship with Whitney Houston. Ray J. who has dated Whitney in the past says he doesn't appreciate Bobby calling him a 'little man' in his new book, Being Bobby Brown: The Truth, The Whole Truth, and Nothing But... And although he says he has nothing personal against Whit's ex-hubby, he'd appreciate it if old dude would stop dwelling on the negative about his marriage to Houston. Ray told In Touch magazine, "I think what Bobby's saying in his book is just ridiculous. He should really go back in and pray and figure out what he should do on the positive tip." Of Brown's height jibes, Ray J. says, "We're the same height, Bobby, come on!"

Also, Ray J. denies his new song Boyfriend is about his relationship with Houston and his feelings about Brown. He adds, "I don't want anybody to think I'm taking any shots at Bobby personally and spilling out my relationship or my sex life with Whitney-I would never do nothing like that. I don't kiss and tell, I don't exploit other people's business and I don't think it's cool that Bobby's doing that!"

BOBBY ON RAY J. & WHITNEY'S RELATIONSHIP: I KNOW THE AGE DIFFRENCE BETWEEN HER AND THE 'LITTLE GUY' IS 20 YEARS, BUT TO EACH HIS OWN.'

Bobby Brown has adopted a more laid back view of Ray J's romance with his ex-wife Whitney Houston. In his forthcoming tell-all autobiography Being Bobby Brown: The Truth, The Whole Truth And Nothing But..., he writes of the affair: "For those of you who want to know, I'm aware of the fact that Whitney had been seeing Ray J, a very young R&B artist who is most famous for being the little brother of Brandy, the multi-platinum singing artist and TV star. Their relationship doesn't bother me. She's open to see whoever she wants to see, just like I can see who I want to see. I know the age difference between her and the little guy is 20 years, but to each his own. The only concern I had was how our daughter felt about the age difference. As long as she's cool with it, it's fine by me."

Meanwhile, Ray J has gone public with details of his romance with Houston in a new song, which also takes aim at the superstar's ex-husband Brown. Ray J dated Houston - who is 17 years his senior - briefly in early 2007, while the singer was going through her divorce from Brown. And the 27-year-old singer has used a song on his new album All I Feel to taunt Brown, by insinuating his marriage to Houston failed as a result of his poor love-making techniques. On the track Boyfriend, he sings, "Is that your wife, is that your shorty? Well I'm her boyfriend... I think the problem is you don't beat it right...Making love is cool, just pull her hair sometimes." Ray J says he refuses to be tied down to one woman, particularly when he is being linked with two of the biggest names in music - Houston and rapper Lil Kim. On his relationship with Houston, he says, "I've been knowing Whitney since I was young. Every time she came around we laughed and joked. We always had good conversation, so last year we just spent a lot more time together. I don't think I'm in love. But I love her."

MORE DETAILS ON BOBBY BROWN'S NEW MEMOIRS: SINGER SAYS HE DIED 3 TIMES AFTER OVERDOSING ON HEROIN.

Lord, let me find out Bobby Brown is busting his bi-polar ass to promote this new book of his. Let me find out! This is my third blog post in a week on Brown's upcoming autobiography Being Bobby Brown: The Truth, The Whole Truth And Nothing But... The few excerpts from the book that has been released are just too juicy for me to ignore. And that says a lot considering Bobby really isn't my cup of tea. But get this: the former Tenderoni star has hit back at reports suggesting this book is nothing but a nasty expose and rampant attack on his ex-wife, Whitney. Brown has gone on record as saying that couldn't be farther from 'the truth, the whole truth and nothing but. I don't have anything bad to say about her. She should have no worries. There's no mess in this book. The book is really good. I'm not a complex person. I'm just trying to maintain a certain amount of integrity - and a certain amount of bad boy-ness. I think the story needs to be told from my point of view. I still have kids that are in school right now so I have to do what I have to do. Daddy doesn't stop working."

In related news, Derrick Handspike, the guy who helped Brown write the book, has dished even more juicy tidbits of what to expect in Bobby's memoirs when it's released on May 13th; specifically Brown's heroin overdose and what really happened on the night Whitney called the cops to accuse Brown of physically assaulting her. In an interview with Fox411 columnist Roger Freidman, Handspike, who happens to be an Atlanta hip-hop producer and author of several other books, revealed that Brown suffered a stroke from the overdose. "No one knows that," he told Friedman. "He had a stroke. They said he had a heart attack but he had a stroke." In the book, Brown says his heart stopped three times and he had to be revived with shock paddles.

According to Handspike, Brown also admits to hitting Houston. "He considered it horse play," he said. "The reason Whitney called the police was that he laughed at her and then left. She said, 'You think you’re going to just walk away from this?' Then she called the police."

When asked the motive behind dishing dirt on ex-wife Whitney Houston, Handspike answered: "We are very wealthy from this already." Handspike intimated that there are "investors," adding, "It’s a joint-venture kind of thing." Brown's publicists are said to have adopted an aggressive game plan to promote the book. "Brown's press reps are approaching all the shows and made an inquiry to Oprah," Friedman wrote in Sunday's column. "The angle is gong to be that this is Brown’s way of telling his story, and that there’s very little about Whitney — at least not enough for which to sue him."

Former heavyweight champ Muhammad Ali's 14th Annual Celebrity Fight Night Saturday night (April 5, 2008) at the JW Marriott Desert Ridge Resort & Spa in Scottsdale, Arizona. The event raises money for the Muhammad Ali Parkinson Center. Ali has been fighting his entire life. Once the most sought-after professional boxer, Ali fought mainly with his fists. But now he finds himself fighting a different kind of fight: the fight against Parkinson's disease. In an effort to raise money for the Muhammad Ali Parkinson Center at Barrow Neurological Institute, and in addition to many other charities, Celebrity Fight Night offered a night filled with live auctions and musical performances from today's stars. What began as an actual celebrity fight event, sparring celebrities against one another in a boxing ring, is now a more traditional fundraising event. In the 13 years that Celebrity Fight Night has been held, over more than $45 million has been raised for charity.

Celebs in attendance included: Dionne Warrick, Whitney Houston, Clive Davis, Terry Crews, Beverly Todd, Jordin Sparks, Tamia, Holly Robinson-Peete, Shaquille O'Neal and his wife Shaunie, Reba McEntire, Kevin Costner, Ray Lewis, Sinbad and more.
