Kimora Lee Simmons and her boo Djimon recently spent a day shopping in Beverly Hills...something she can do even more easily now that she and Russell have finalized their divorce. Last month, Kimora was awarded sole custody of her two daughters, Ming, 8 and Aoki, 5, with former husband Russell Simmons. According to court documents, Russell is allowed to have the two young girls for one week out of every eight. He will get to spend extra time with them for summer vacations and holidays while Kimora has been granted the legal authority to make all decisions in relation to their kids' health, education and welfare. In addition, the model will receive the $480,000-a-year in child support as per her request. Russell is expected to continue paying the sum until 2019 for Ming Lee, and 2022 for Aoki. But that's not all - Russell has also been ordered to provide a car worth at least $60,000 for the use and benefit of his children, and the vehicle must be replaced every two years.
However, in an open letter to various media outlets, Russell has insisted he is happy with the arrangements because they are in the best interests of their kids and he claims there is no bitterness between him and his estranged wife. He says, "I want to say Kimora is a excellent mother and is doing a great job with them... Regarding the money, my kids live a tremendous life. They do have lots of security, nannies, educators, special programs, travel, chefs, on and on. Their mother manages all of those luxuries and I'm happy to provide for that."

Following in the footsteps of Kimora Lee Simmons, rapper LL Cool J has signed up to design a range of childrens' clothing for fashion chain Sears. The star - real name James Todd Smith - has teamed up with the clothing giant to create a line for young boys and girls which will be sold in over 450 stores across North America. And Smith - who previously launched a men's line called Todd Smith - admits he turned to the women in his life for help in coming up with the designs. He says, "I was raised by a matriarch, I have a wife and three daughters, so I know what women are looking for when they shop for clothes. Clothes have to make a woman feel good, relaxed and sexy. We are going to be constantly looking at fine-tuning the fit and we'll get it right."
I have a feeling things are about to get a bit nasty mixed in with loads of dramatic drama in the Russell and Kimora Lee divorce proceedings. According to People magazine, Simmons has filed a response to his estranged wife Kimora Lee's divorce petition in a Los Angeles court Tuesday. The hip-hop mogul, whose legal papers cite irreconcilable differences, is seeking joint physical and legal custody of his and Lee's daughters, Ming, 8, and Aoki, 5. Who knew it would come to this? The couple married in 1998. In her divorce filing in March, Lee, 33, requested that Simmons, 50, get "reasonable child visitation ... to be accompanied at all times by the children's nanny and security personnel." Both parties are asking the court to deny spousal support for the other. At the time of their initial separation in 2006, Simmons said in a statement: "Kimora and I will remain committed parents and caring friends with great love and admiration for each other."
