FLORIDA A&M UNIVERSITY'S HOMECOMING 2007! THE GOOD, THE BAD & THE UGLY!

Hey Everybody!

First of all, excuse me while I sing one of my favorite Rattler songs right quick: 'FAM-U/FAM-U/FAM-GOT-DAMN-U/ALRIGHT, ALRIGHT, ALRIGHT, ALRIGHT!'

FAMU's homecoming was off the chain again this year. No surprise there. Rattlers from everywhere around the United States and beyond traveled to Tallahassee and turned it out! I just walked in the door and I'm dead ass tired...I also feel old as hell! LOL! Therefore and thus and such, I'll update the blog with more celeb news and pics later on today. I'll also share my 2 cents on FAMU's Marching 100 halftime madness and mayhem which involved North Carolina A&T's salty-ass, bama-ass football players (I got you, Mina!); as well as updated news on T-Pain's arrest (although there really ain't too much to tell!). I also want to give a big shout out to our honorary Rattlers: Doug Banks and DeeDee McGuire from The Doug Banks Morning Show) and Tom Joyner and his crew for coming down and making FAMU's homecoming better and whatnot! LOL!

Oh, and did I mention FAMU got all up in NC A&T's ass for 26th year in a row?! LOL!

NEW PICS: TRINA PERFORMING @ THE 2007 HIP-HOP OCTOBERFEST IN TALLAHASSEE, FLORIDA

Last Sunday (October 7), Miami rapper Trina made a special guest appearance at the 2007 Hip-Hop Octoberfest concert here in Tallahassee, Florida to promote her album, Da Baddest Bitch 2, which will be in stores February 12, 2008. During her appearance, the rapper also performed a medley of her past hits as well as her new single, Single Again. Looks like she got a little emotional, doesn't it?

Yung Joc, Rick Ross and Souljah Boy also performed.

If you Trina fans missed her Octoberfest performance, don't fret: the Diamond Princess will return to Tallahassee during FAMU's Homecoming weekend (November 3rd). Check out the pics from her performance below.

NEW DVD: 'STOMPIN' AT THE DOME,' TO SHOWCASE MOST POPULAR HBCU BANDS (I.E. FAMU'S MARCHING 100) ON & OFF THE FIELD.

Now yall know I just had to report this. I had to. I couldn't continue to deem myself as a dedicated and loyal Florida A&M University Rattler if I let the following news pass me by. Oh, and FYI, I don't even have to look at the DVD to know that the number 1 band in all the land a.k.a. FAMU's Marching 100 is the best band on it; and this fact alone makes it worthy of watching it. Please believe it. HBCU bands such as stale and stiff-ass Southern, greedy and grimey-ass Grambling, bland and boring-ass BCC and whoever else ain't got nothing on the 100. Yeah, I said it! And what?! LOL! But I'll digress for now and get to the point.

For the first time in the five-year history of Honda's Battle of the Bands, American Honda has produced a DVD that showcases headlining bands on and off the field. Stompin' at the Dome, a documentary filmed last fall and earlier this year, follows the journey from the participating HBCU campuses to the Georgia Dome in Atlanta. The DVD not only highlights the ten winning schools, but also chronicles the milestone fifth anniversary of the Honda Battle of the Bands. The squads cover popular music ranging from Crazy by Gnarls Barkley to Wanna Be Startin' Something by Michael Jackson.
