A big-screen adaptation of Perry's hit stage play of the same title,
Why Did I Get Married? is an intimate story about the difficulty of maintaining a solid love relationship in modern times. During a trip to the picturesque snowcapped mountains of Colorado, eight married college friends have gathered for their annual seven-day reunion. But the cozy mood is shattered when the group comes face-to-face with one pair’s infidelity. As secrets are revealed, each couple begins questioning the validity of their own marriage. Over the course of the weekend, husbands and wives take a hard look at their lives, wrestling with issues of commitment, betrayal and forgiveness as they seek a way forward.
I don't know about yall, but I can't remember the last time I saw so many good looking men in one movie! Malik Yoba, Michael Jai White, Richard T. Jones and Lamman Rucker...I thought I'd never see him again after
Half & Half was canceled. For you all who don't remember, Lahman Rucker played Mona's (played by Rachael True) cutie pie of a chef boyfriend, Chase. Problem was she didn't know whether she wanted to be with Chase or her her upstairs neighbor/jumpoff. What made things worse were by the end of what we thought was the show's
season finale (which turned out to be its
series finale), Mona had finally decided who she wanted to share her life with, then...you know what? Ain't no need to dwell on things we can't change, right? Hell, I'm just happy at the fact that I'll soon be able to check his fine ass out on the big screen!
Someone is stalking my Uncle Tyler. I can't help it. There's just something about him that makes me want to call him my Uncle Tyler. And then again, there's something about him that makes me wish he was my Uncle Tyler! Anyhoo, after checking my email to read his latest letter to his fans (because dude's went ghost for a while), I truly thought he was joking. He opened the letter up stating: "Okay, I know that I haven’t written in a while but I’ve been dealing with a situation. I’m trying to be careful how I say this without inciting this person, but I have a stalker. This person sends several hundred emails a day to my office and has planned our wedding and bought rings and such. She has showed up at my house several times. What’s crazy is I’ve never met this woman nor have I even responded to her emails. I’ve had to increase the guards at my house as well as travel with body guards and I hate that. I hate to have big guys following me around. Anyway I’ll try to keep this positive. Let me breathe..."
