LIL WAYNE ON WHY HE'LL NEVER STOP SIPPING SYRUP: 'IT AIN'T THAT EASY...LET ME DO ME.'

Lil Wayne is popping off at folks who have an issue with him and the syrupy narcotic beverage he holds in his ever present Styrofoam cup. The rapper who spit, "I like my Sprite Easter-pink," on DJ Khaled's We Takin' Over and declared "weed and syrup till I die" on Playaz Circle's Duffle Bag Boy, recently explained during a concert in Newark, New Jersey, that sipping syrup — a combination made up chiefly of promethazine and codeine, which is supposed to be prescribed by doctors for severe colds and pneumonia — is a part of the culture in the South. He also talked about how he gets flak for it. Wayne has said he's been hearing about how he needs to cut back on syrup more than ever in the wake of Pimp C's death in December. The UGK member's death was ruled accidental and due to a deadly combination of syrup— also known as "lean," "Texas tea" and "drank" — and his sleep-apnea condition. Weezy said he can't just quit cold turkey.

"I've been criticized for the things I chose and things I've chosen to do. Everybody wants me to stop all this and all that. It ain't that easy. Do your history, do your research. It ain't that easy — feels like death in your stomach when you stop doing that sh--. You gotta learn how to stop, you gotta go through detox. You gotta do all kinds of stuff. Like I said, I'm a selfish-ass n---a. I feel like everything I do is successful and productive. It's gonna be hard to tell me I'm slipping. It's hard to sit and tell a n---a 'Stop.' 'F---, how can we tell this n---a to stop when every f---ing thing he do is successful? This n---a is making progress. He just went and talked to kids and that sh-- was amazing.' Feel me? So what am I doing wrong? Let me do me. Everybody's got their thing. Why focus on me? Don't compare me to no one. Don't compare me to no one who has passed, and why they passed. I can walk out this bitch right now and get hit by a bus. Don't judge me. You wanna judge me, put on a black gown and get a gavel. Get in line with the rest of them that's about to judge me. I got court dates every other month. It's me against the world — that's how I feel."

Admittedly, the negative opinions about the controversy surrounding him has added fuel to his fire, both in and out of the studio. However, even the "Fireman" says he can explode after awhile. "It's inspiring me, but I'mma tell them now they better stop," he warned. "'Cause they [are trying to] push me off the edge. If I jump, I'm taking the world with me. That's my word."

'THIS NIGGAH, HERE!' BOBBY BROWN WANTED FOR POSSESSION OF THE 'WHITE GIRL.'

Oh sure, he’ll get his yee-ha on when he appears on CMTs Gone Country later this month, Read RG101's: Bobby & Sisqo go country but the demand for appearances by Grammy-winning Roxbury bad boy Bobby Brown has been limited mostly to courthouses these days. Massachusetts State Police are trying to bring a cocaine possession charge against the 38-year-old r & b singer and ex-hubby of high priestess of pop Whitney Houston, according to the men in blue. A show-cause hearing scheduled for yesterday at Brockton District Court was rebooked for Feb. 19 because Bobby’s new attorney, Stephanie Soriano, a former Suffolk County prosecutor, had a calendar conflict.

Soriano declined to comment on the matter. But that’s her Prerogative. Apparently, the Staties came to the aid of Brockton police on Dec. 1, when they were called to quell a fight at the local Holiday Inn shortly after midnight, according to Trooper Eric Benson. He said the officers were directed to a 2004 Lincoln Navigator, where Brown, who lists his residence as Encino, Calif., was sitting in the front seat. Benson said police are seeking to charge Brown with a single count of possession of a Class B substance, which the court papers identify as cocaine.

O.J. THREATENS DUDE HE ACCUSED OF SLEEPING W/HIS GIRLFRIEND: 'I'M GOING TO F*CKING KILL YOU!'

Simpson's violent jealous streak didn't die with his ex-wife, Nicole Brown. In an eerily similar sequel to the murder of Brown and her friend Ron Goldman, the disgraced grid great descended into a twisted rage six weeks ago when he accused his girlfriend of sleeping with a hunky, ex-con handyman, the worker and his wife told The Post. A jealous Juice first left an irate voice mail for Janos Gonzalez, whom Simpson had hired to work at his South Miami home, on July 29. Thirty minutes later, he showed up at Gonzalez's home in Kendall, according to Gonzalez, 42, and his wife, Marlene, 32. With his gal pal, Nicole look-alike Christie Prody, next to him, Simpson peeled his Lexus sedan into the driveway in the late evening as Marlene Gonzalez was parking her brawny hubby's pickup truck.

Simpson made a beeline for her, shouting, "I need to f- - -ing talk to you," Marlene Gonzalez said.

He told her that her husband had sex with Prody earlier that day, she said. "I told him he had to solve that problem with his girlfriend," she said. Janos Gonzalez, who had been inside, emerged and told Simpson to leave. But Simpson told the lantern-jawed lothario: "Come over here. I'm going to f- - -ing kill you," Marlene Gonzalez said. Simpson then placed his hand behind him as if drawing a gun, she said. "I didn't know if he really had one," she said.

Janos Gonzalez, who has a long rap sheet of drug- related arrests, said he did landscaping and repairs at Simpson's $1 million home for a year until four months ago. He denied he ever met Prody, Simpson's on-again, off-again girlfriend of 10 years, but said he had heard about Simpson's volatile relationship with her. But police reports and court documents obtained by The Post show Prody and Gonzalez did have a past, and it was not pretty.
