"Family and friends of Tameka “Tiny” Cottle held an elegant baby shower for her yesterday afternoon in Buckhead. The rain didn’t dampen the evening as Monica, Kandi Burruss, Tiny’s parents Diane Cottle and Charles Pope, Frank and Tanya Ski, Ryan and Kysha Cameron, LaTavia (Destiny’s Child), celebrity photographer Derek Blanks, socialite Eboni Elektra, singers Truth Hurts and Sunshine Anderson, Tamar Braxton (Toni’s sister), rappers Lil’ Scrappy, Diamond, and more showered Tiny with expensive gifts for her unborn baby boy, due next month. T.I. showed up towards the end to help his fiancee carry her mountain of gifts to the car.

USHER ON WHY HE QUIT CLUBBING TO START A FAMILY + MORE PROMOTIONAL PICS.

Usher spoke with Essence.com about his new album and 'confesses' how leaving the clubs behind to start a family has influenced his new music for the better. "I'm back on the scene and ready to do it all over again. This is going to be an incredible journey. It is a classic and should be remembered 20 years from now. I'm ready to shock the world." Yet, his loyalists were not at all surprised to learn that the pop phenom's bounce-heavy, party starter Love In This Club. Still as his energy surges with talks of his latest project, the anticipation hardly the cause of this first-time dad's adrenalin rush. But lately nothing has kept him more engaged than fatherhood and his family. "My mother had dinner at our house, and all my family came in from all over. Some were newly married; some had babies," Usher told ESSENCE back in 2005. "I was like, "Wow, where have I been? Have I missed everything?" That was a wake-up call. One of my biggest flaws is not allocating time properly to my family, because of my artistic obligation, my journey." Moving forward, Usher heeded his call as a husband to his wife Tameka Foster. Last September, the two got hitched and in November they welcomed their first child together, Usher Raymond V. Undoubtedly, his personal experiences in life and love are the blueprint for his lyrical content.

Usher's favorite part of his new album is an interlude dedicated to his son entitled, Pray For You, and he looks forward to the day when his namesake will listen to the new tribute. "I modeled this one as an example for my son who will understand someday that when you stand for what's right, regardless of what anyone else's opinion may be, you are right," he says. "No man should judge another for what he feels and stands for. Do you understand what I stand for?"

DAMON DASH'S SON'S MOTHER TAKES DASH BACK TO COURT; DEMANDS HE PLACE $10 MILLION IN TRUST FUND FOR THEIR SON.

Music mogul Damon Dash has been accused of taking his teenage son to visit a relative's dead body in a morgue. Linda Williams, the mother of Dash's 16-year-old son Damon Dash II a.k.a. Doogie, has added the claim to her ongoing custody battle with the star. She insists Dash took their son to a mortuary to identify his uncle, who had committed suicide by a gunshot to the head. In documents filed at the Family Court of the State of New York, Williams further claims her son - who is currently residing with Dash - is "living with not hot water (sic) or electricity for two months in his bedroom".

Williams demands Dash pay $3,600 for their son to go to the city's Hoftstra Basketball Camp and place $10 million in a trust fund. Williams has been fighting Dash for custody since 2003. Dash - who is expecting his second child with wife Rachel Roy - was unavailable for comment.

MYA'S BROKEN FOOT STALLS HER BROADWAY DEBUT.

There won't be a big Broadway debut for Grammy Award winner Mya anytime soon. Lil mama, who was scheduled to begin performances in the Tony-winning revival of Chicago May 12, has been postponed due to the singer broken foot, according to a statement released by the producer of Chicago. Barry Weissler, producer of Chicago, said in the statement, "In the theatre industry, we are sometimes forced to deal with circumstances beyond our control. But speaking for the entire Chicago creative team, we all wish her a speedy recovery, and look forward to experiencing her portrayal of Velma Kelly as soon as possible." Mýa's association with the razzle-dazzle world of Chicago dates back to 2003 when she played Mona in the Rob Marshall-directed film version of Chicago.

A Washington, DC, native Mya made a splash with her 1998 debut album, Mýa, which yielded three top 10 singles: It's All About Me, Movin' On and My First Night with You. Her second CD was titled Fear of Flying. In 2001 Mya joined Lil' Kim, Pink, Christina Aguilera and Missy Elliot to record Lady Marmalade for the Moulin Rouge soundtrack, which won a Grammy Award. Her third solo recording, Moodring, featured the hits My Love Is Like...Wo and Fallen. In 2005 the singer founded TMATF: The Mya Arts & Tech Foundation, which is dedicated to "providing disadvantaged youth growth and opportunity through arts and technology education."

Chicago won the Tony Award for Best Revival of a Musical in 1997 as well as awards for actors Bebe Neuwirth and James Naughton, director Walter Bobbie, lighting designer Ken Billington and choreographer Ann Reinking. The original production was directed and choreographed by the late Bob Fosse.

THE ORIGINAL MEMBERS OF EN VOGUE ON THEIR RECENT REUNION: 'THERE WAS NEVER A BREAK-UP.' + PICS FROM THEIR PLYMOUTH JAZZ FEST PERFORMANCE.

Terry Ellis, Cindy Herron, Maxine Jones and Dawn Robinson: the original members of 90s girl-group En Vogue, reunited once again to perform together in concert at the 4th Annual Plymouth Jazz Festival in Tobago last weekend (peep the photos below). The last time fans witnessed the original members of En Vogue together was when they joined Salt N Pepa for the girl groups' first ever joint public performance of their respective 1993 chart-topping hit, Whatta Man, for VH-1's Hip Hop Honors show in September of 2005. Shortly after, Dawn pulled her 'I'm outta here' card and went ghost. It's no secret the members of En Vogue came and went and changed more than the each season of the year. Talk about coming and going...

Anywhoo, fast forward to 2008. The quartet a.k.a. the Funky Divas, who have been deemed as the best vocal female R&B group of all of time (for obvious reasons), mildly disappointed fans after opening their set with their hit song, My Lovin' (You're Never Gonna Get It). The ladies used music tracks instead of performing with a live band. However, according to sources, overall, the group's harmonies were flawless and stage presence was solid. The ladies-specifically Ellis--brought down the house with their closing song, Hold On. Backstage, organizers held a brief press conference where the ladies discussed their appearance in Tobago. "Just all of our personalities come out when we are back together again. It's always the same way. We're like sisters not seeing each other again coming back together," said Robinson about the experience. "It's natural! Very natural," Jones chimed in. When probed about why the group originally split and had they resolved their previous differences, things got a little tense.

Robinson spoke first.

"Uh, it was a little complicated," she began.

Ellis interjected: "There was never a breakup. Dawn wanted to go solo and we were all pursuing different things at the time. That's just what it was." In 1995, Ellis released a solo CD called Southern Gal. When Robinson left En Vogue to pursue a solo career in 1997, the newfound trio released EV3 that year and later Masterpiece Theater in 2000 before being dropped by Elektra Records. In 2001, Jones departed the group to spend time with her family and was replaced by a singer named Amanda Cole. The revamped En Vogue then released a holiday CD called The Gift of Christmas. After the CD bowed, Cole vacated the group and was replaced by singer/actress Rhona Bennett, who was previously signed to Epic Records and was a recurring cast member on The Jamie Foxx Show. Around the same time, Robinson – having been ousted from the R&B collective Lucy Pearl by its founder Raphael Saadiq – released her solo self-titled opus, which basically went unnoticed. In 2004, the Cindy-Terry-Rhona combined En Vogue released an independent CD called Soul Flower. Jones returned to the group sporadically around this as well.

With Robinson now back in the picture, where does that leave Bennett? "Rhona is also still with the group," Herron offered. "She will be working with us as we need her. It's all about balancing everything. We have to work our shows into our family life. But balance is the key." The group was unable to provide any insight as to whether they will record again or if this reunion was just a trial situation. "We'll take it from here. We'll do the show for now I guess and take it from there and see how things go," explained Robinson.

"Right," Ellis confirmed.

"We're blessed to be together right now," Robinson closed.
