Rapper/actor Nas attends his 80s-themed birthday party alongside his wife, singer Kelis and Chris Webber at the Xbox Oasis at TAO Beach at The Venetian Hotel and Casino on September 14, 2007 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Oh, and be sure to tune into Nas & Kelis' reality show aptly titled 'Me & Mrs. Jones' when it hits MTV later this year. The show will focus on the couple's marriage as well as their individual careers both at home and while on tour. Nas, who has been called by many one of the industries most mysterious rappers says he himself could not believe he was doing it. “Sometimes I feel like “This is cool, man; I have TV cameras following me wherever I go,” he says in the new issue of Fashion Rock magazine. “Other times I want to crawl under a rock. I feel like an idiot–’Did I really agree to this?’ It feels so self-absorbed, so self-indulgent.” His wife of 2 years chimed in, “It’s going to be great, baby. It has to be great, because if it’s not great we won’t let them put it on TV.”
I just hope that these two still have a marriage after their reality show ends. In more than a couple of cases, reality shows on MTV featuring celeb couples hasn't always ended in bliss. Nick and Jessica, Carmen Elektra and Dave Navarro, Travis Barker and Shanna Moakler marriages have all ended in divorce once the cameras stopped rolling. Beware Kelis and Nas. Be very aware.
