WILL & JADA'S SON, JADEN TO STAR IN REMAKE OF 'THE KARATE KID'?
Jaden Christopher Syre Smith may soon find himself in such drills as "wax on, wax off," "paint the fence" and "sand the floor" en route to a pivotal crane kick in his next motion picture. According to a report on Web site IGN Entertainment, Will Smith's 9-year-old son is set to star in a remake of the popular 1984 film, The Karate Kid. If true, the younger Smith will play Daniel Larusso, the hard scrabble-yet-ridiculed teen who finds confidence to beat his rivals and win the girl by learning karate from his eventual mentor, Mr. Miyagi.Unconfirmed reports have Sony Pictures behind the remake effort, which would come 23 years after the original film starring Ralph Macchio hit theaters. No word yet as to who will take on the role of Miyagi, portrayed by the late actor Pat Morita. Jaden was last seen starring opposite his dad in The Pursuit of Happyness.

NEW CANDIDS: CHILLI CHILLING WITH HER FAMILY
I came across a couple of candid pictures of TLC's Rozonda 'Chilli' Thomas spending time with her family. That's her son Tron in the first pic looking like an equal mix of his mom and daddy, music producer Dallas Austin. Speaking of music, according to Chilli, although she was never signed to Akon's Konvict Music label, her long-awaited solo debut (which she started working on after she began dating Usher) is now finished. T-Boz, T-Pain and Kandy Burress (formerly of ATL-based all-female R&B group, X-Scape) are just a couple of folks Chilli collaborated with on her project. When the album will hit record store shelves is the big question. It's been about 5 years in the making, so now only time will tell. In the meantime, Chilli can be heard co-hosting on a couple of Atlanta's top radio stations on any given day. She definitely has the voice for radio.

TYLER PERRY, JANET & JILL TO APPEAR ON OPRAH THIS WEEK; TYLER MAKES REQUEST TO HIS SUPPORTERS.
Tyler Perry has announced that he along with Janet Jackson and Jill Scott will appear on The Oprah Winfrey Show on Wednesday, October 3rd to promote/discuss his newest movie, Why Did I Get Married? which opens nationwide in theaters on October 12th! And yall know I'm ready to see it--not only to support Tyler and his work but to feast my eyes on that fine-ass Lamman Rucker! Oooh, let me find out! Anyway, Tyler left a new message on his board stating that W.D.I.G.M.? is by far the best movie he has EVER done...better than Daddy's Little Girls, Diary of a Mad Black Woman and Madea's Family Reunion. As a matter of fact, Perry says this movie is so powerful that once we see this movie, it's going to change our outlook on relationships. I sure hope so, cause a sister like myself is...oops, look at me about to tell all of yall my personal business! Let me move on right now! LOL!Below and after the jump are more excerpts from Tyler's message:
"Now, as you all know, with every movie that I've done I have always asked you all to be the first ones to see it. So, what I asked the theaters to do is set up an advance group sales line just for you. You should be able to call this number and buy group tickets. If you are in a senior group, sorority, fraternity, book club, choir, singles ministries, couples ministries, or usher board number 3 (smile), you can call and get advanced seats for your group at this number 1-877-409-3446 and then please go to the board (WWW.TYLERPERRY.COM)and let me know what groups you will be bringing and who they are if you can. I'd like to know. So, go ahead and call if you can and get your advanced seats. I want my folks in there first starting early Friday afternoon, so that we can blow that first weekend out and send a clear message to all the critics and to Hollywood letting them know that we want more movies like this.
It has been you, my board members (that's my name for the people who are on the mailing list and faithfully leave messages on the message board) who tell me the truth. One of the reasons that I always ask you all to see the movies first is because you all will give me the real deal. It is no secret that the critics have hated everything that I have ever done. But that's ok...as long as you love it. So, when they start to criticize and try to make me feel bad about this movie I will be looking to you for some words of encouragement, okay?
Be blessed
Tyler Perry

'THE BOONDOCKS' 2nd SEASON PREMIERE TO AIR OCT. 8. ON ADULT SWIM
For those of us who thought celebrated cartoonist Aaron McGruder pulled a "Dave Chappelle" and went A.W.O.L. on his flourishing fame and fortune, the kid stays in the picture.Adult Swim, Cartoon Network's late-night sister network -- which showcases material more mature in nature -- announced that the second season of McGruder's break-out series The Boondocks, will premiere Oct. 8 at 11:30 p.m.(ET/PT). According to a rep for the network, 15 new episodes of the Peabody Award-winning cartoon will air through January 2008.
The new season will find main characters Huey, Riley and Granddad encountering an array of characters, both new and familiar. Some situations that can be expected:
-- Granddad's feud with Thugnificent, a world-renowned rapper who moves into the neighborhood.
-- Family friend Tom DuBois enlisting the counsel of A Pimp Named Slickback, when he fears losing his wife to R&B superstar Usher.
-- The family's day at the movies, where they go to see 'Soul Plane 2.'
-- Granddad's attempt at online dating.
-- The family's experiences in taking in a family after Hurricane Katrina.
Throughout the season, a new eclectic mix of hip-hop artists, actors, comedians and media personalities will voice guest characters on the envelope-pushing show, including Busta Rhymes, Snoop Dogg, Ghostface Killah, Cee-lo, Lil Wayne, Donald Faison, Aisha Tyler, Kym Whitley, Tichina Arnold, Mo'Nique, Marion Ross, Tavis Smiley, Terry Crews, Bill Duke and Cedric the Entertainer. Also look for Mos Def, Xzibit, Charlie Murphy, Sway Calloway and Katt Williams reprising their guest roles from last season.
Regina King voices brothers Huey and Riley Freeman, the two characters central to the series, while John Witherspoon voices Robert Jebediah Freeman aka "Granddad," the boys' cantankerous grandfather. Cedric Yarbrough, Gary Anthony Williams, Gabby Soleil and Jill Talley round out the show's principal cast.
McGruder, who created the popular syndicated comic strip of the same name, serves as executive producer of The Boondocks.

KARRINE DEVELOPS DIARRHEA @ THE MOUTH WHILE DISHING T.M.I. ON HER RELATIONSHIP W/ LIL WAYNE.
I swear Karrine 'Superhead' Steffans becomes more and more officially and certifiably delusional with each passing day. To entice more people to go out and cop her newest memoir, The Vixen Diaries, which reads like a far-fetched, farce of fraudulent, font-fronting falsehoods disguised as a knock-off ghetto-bird version of a B.E.T. Arabesque romance novel...okay, let's call it what it is: A book of just plain smut and lies. The woman, who now hates to be referred to as 'Superhead', spoke exclusively to VIBE magazine (December 2007 issue) about that fantasy of a relationship she claims to have with Lil Wayne. And as usual, she flapped those infamous, literally-loose lips of hers and dished everything from their sex life to her admiration of him for penning a song just for her called Prostitute. Now if that don't put the lid on the jar!Below is an excerpt from Steffans' interview and after the jump, read what Lil Wayne has to say about Karrine:
On loving Weezy: "It was hard at first because I had to learn how to love him, because he's not like any other guy. It's like he's from another planet. When he wakes up in the morning, he may not talk to you. He might just get dressed and leave. It doesn't mean he doesn't love you, it just means he's about to go work and he's in his zone and his zone has nothing to do with you." Girl, please!
On sex with Lil Wayne: "I can count on one hand how many times me and Wayne have had sex. That's not what our relationship is based on. Seriously. When we do, we make love and it's ... amazing. It's quiet. It's slow. It's full-contact. There's no, 'Flip over. Put your leg over here.' It's just two hearts. I can feel my heart beating against his heart, his whole body is wrapped around mine, and it's us breathing together." *SMDH*
On Prostitute: "He called my house at four in the morning... and sang it to me. He was like, 'That's your song.' I listen to it everyday over and over and over again in my car. That song is our relationship." Karrine, somebody done told you wrong, Bitchy Poo.
On the nature of their relationship: "He'll be 25 in two weeks and I'm 29, but I'm willing to wait until he's ready. In the meantime, he's like my best friend. He's my John Lennon, I’m his Yoko Ono, and together, it just works."
Read the rest of this EXTRA juicy interview in the December 2007 issue of VIBE, on stands next month. Until then, read what Lil Wayne REALLY thinks about Superhead in VIBE's November 2007 issue, on stands now! Here's a lil snippet from his interview:
Lil Wayne on Superhead: "My Baaaaby. I just love her. That's like my big sister and homie-lover-friend. I ain't never found a homie-lover-friend 'til Karrine."
That's a damn shame, ain't it? I mean, really.

NEW PICS: RHIANNA MAKES HER CATWALK DEBUT IN 'DSQUARED' SHOW IN MILAN.
Following in the stiletto-heeled footsteps of Princess Beatrice and Peaches Geldof, R&B’s hottest female of the moment, Rihanna made her catwalk debut this week at the show of Canadian label Dsquared. The pretty 19-year-old sashayed down the runway to the strains of her hit song Umbrella in a revealing baby doll-style dress by twin design duo Dean and Dan Caten. After models showcased the rest of the collection - a selection of gowns in black, pink and white featuring zips, huge collors and plunging necklines - the Barbados-born chanteuse joined the brothers on stage. This time in striking purple gown with cut-out sides.
