Pro wrestler Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson was spotted out and about in New York City yesterday afternoon signing autographs for fans. More than likely, the slimmed down actor is in town to promote his new movie The Game Plan. According to imdb.com, the movie, which opens in theaters on September 28, tells the story of superstar quarterback Joe Kingman (Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson), whose Boston-based team is chasing a championship. A serial bachelor, Kingman is living the ultimate fantasy: hes rich, famous and the life of the party. But this dream is suddenly sacked for a loss when he discovers the 7-year-old daughter he never knew he had the product of a last fling before parting years ago with his young wife. Now, during the most important time in his career, he must figure out how to juggle his parties, practices and dates with the newfound ballet classes, bedtime stories and dolls that come with his daughter. Despite the often hilarious misadventures that come with being a new father, Joe discovers thats theres more to life than money, endorsements and thousands of adoring fans: the love and care of one very special small fan is the only thing that matters.

I'm loving how his latest movies are family-related. I was never interested in him as a wrestler per say. But when I see him display above average performances in movies such as The Gridiron Gang, Be Cool and The Scorpion, I'm inclined to believe that he most definitely have a long career in films.

It's been a while since we've seen Ashanti doing anything outside of hitting up the clubs and afterparties for various awards shows with her boyfriend Nelly. So it's good to know that she's pounding the concrete once again (with her mama all up in her ass as usual) to promote her latest project (before the release of her 4th studio album in December) which happens to be Resident Evil: Extinction, the third and final installment in the series. The film opens in theaters Friday, September 21, 2007. Mya should take heed. Sitting in the front row of damn near every fashion show during fashion week is NOT a good look, boo-boo.
