NEW PICS: CELEBS @ USHER'S FRAGRANCE LAUNCH PARTY @ CIPRIANI'S IN NYC; MOM'S THERE TOO.

Usher hosted the launch party his new women's cologne, Usher She last night in Cipriani's in New York City. Surprisingly, his mother, Jonetta was in attendance sporting a brand new hair-do! And coincidentally, Usher's pregnant wife, HeMeka...I meant Tameka wasn't. I'm willing to bet dollars to donuts that some sort of an agreement was made in which Jonetta would attend the function only if her wicked daughter-in-law stayed away. Anywhoo, a handful of celebs such as Nelly, Jermaine Dupri, Fonzworth Bentley, Gayle King, Ludacris and Beyonce came out to help Usher celebrate the occasion.

Now, as for that cologne he's launching. It hasn't been receiving any good reviews lately.

Atlanta Journal Constitution: reporter Nedra Rhone tested it out and had this to say: "We finally got a whiff of Usher’s new juice and frankly we weren’t too thrilled. The general consensus around here was that Usher She had a strange smelling top note, while Usher He was a bit generic. Someone said it smelled it a little too “Davidoff Cool Water.” Another in office quote: “Maybe he should stick to music.”

Vibe.com wasn't any nicer: "As we previously mentioned, Usher is yet another celebrity putting out a fragrance this year. Well, the women's perfume and men's cologne finally hit the shelves this week and word is that the scents are funky--and not in a good way. We're surprised that fans aren't feeling Tameka Foster's bottled musk. NOT!"

And the review from Sandra Rose's blog was the worst...and funniest: Usher fans: 'Your cologne STINKS!' "One well placed music industry executive who received several complimentary bottles of Usher's cologne said the fragrance is, "the worst sh*t I've ever smelled in my life!" The exec recounts wearing the fragrance into the office and inadvertently emptying out the room. "I ended up sending an assistant to get baby wipes to wipe it off," he said."

Well, at least his mom supports him in this venture. Her presence at this event says it all: oh, yes, she'll support her baby when he's getting his business- man on, but marrying a gor-ree-rah (that's how Eddie Murphy's Chinese character in Norbit described Rasputia!) who she knows for a fact isn't good for him is a whole different story! Mama knows yall. All of them know! I thought I'd never get over my last boyfriend. My mama told me, 'Yes, the hell you will, now shut the f*ck up and get out of my face.' About 2 months later, I was over him. My mama said, 'Didn't I tell your ass that the first time?' LOL!

VIDEOS: WATCH CHILLI CLOWN/DANCE IN ANOTHER ATL RADIO STATION + DALLAS AUSTIN'S 'CRANK DAT' PROMO

I found another video of Chilli of TLC dancing to Soulja Boy in the studio of Atlanta's 107.9 radio station earlier this week. And if you thought she was clowning in the last youtube clip I posted of her dancing at Atlanta's V-103 radio station, you ain't seen nothing yet! She is straight clowning her ass off! A laugh and a half is what she is! And *gasp* she's even sporting a new hairstyle!

Also, Chilli's former fiance and multi-platinum record producer, Dallas Austin has created new urban, southern, hip-hop version--ooh, that kind of rhymed, huh? Damn, I'm good! LOL!--of American Bandstand called Crank Dat based in Atlanta. The show gives young adults a forum to express themselves artistically through music, to introduce their own personal dancing styles as well as learning new ones from others. Think of it as American Bandstand meets The Soul Train line! Yeah, something like that. Chilli and Austin's 10-year-old son Tron are both featured in the promo clip/tv pilot, as well as Big Boi of Outkast, rapper Big Gipp and many others.

If you don't know by now, the 'snap dance' and 'snap music' craze, which originated in the South, but quickly gained popularity after such songs as Laffy Taffy (by ATL-based rap group and one-hit wonder D4L) and Lean Wit It, Rock Wit It (from another ATL-based rap group and two-hit wonder, Dem Franchize Boyz) hit the airwaves. Since then, the 'snap dance' has quickly gone global. Youtube has received over 66 million hits when the words: 'crank dat' or 'soulja boy' is entered in their search engine.

No word yet on when the show will air. You can watch the promo clip below.

MARIAH CAREY RESPONDS TO DIDDY'S CHALLENGE + HAS DIDDY SHUT DOWN JUSTIN'S IN NYC?

Dumb-dumb Diddy's cockiness and arrogance leaves a lot to be desired. A whole lot! Dude has taken it upon himself to challenge several female celebs (including an ex-girlfriend) who have endorsed their own fragrance lines respectively. Now, one of those females celebs, Mariah Carey, is responding to Diddy's childish challenge. At a tour of his “Unforgivable Mansion” last week, promoting his new fragrance, the aptly named Unforgivable, Diddy told one reporter, “You know also… with this fragrance I also send out a challenge. There are a lot of female celebrities that have fragrances… like J.Lo and Britney and Gwen Stefani and Mariah Carey,” Diddy began. “I just told them that my, my fragrance is better then theirs. I like their fragrance but... I invite them to come out, meet me on a Saturday or Sunday on 5th Avenue and we do it like Pepsi blind smell taste. We can do it in front of my Sean John store… Check this out, Britney, JLo, Gwen, Sarah Jessica Parker meet (me) on 5th avenue any time this weekend. My fragrance is launching and we can see whose fragrance is better, mine or yours. And the loser has to pay for the shopping spree.”

Diddy also told another outlet, “I’m a man and I know how women should smell!” Man, please!

“I heard about this competition, and I wish Puff all the best with his new fragrance,” Carey responded. “But I think we’re actually appealing to different types of women. M by Mariah Carey is about being unforgettable, not unforgivable. It’s not about a ménage à trois or a one night stand, it’s for the woman who wants the man to fall in love with her immediately, stay in love, and treat her like royalty.”

In other Diddy news, word around the web is that Diddy has, for unknown reasons at this time, closed down his Justin's restaurant in New York City. Reportedly, radio personality Lady O of NYC's Power 105.1 radio station announced she'd recently received info from a reliable source claiming that the media-mogul's soul-food eatery would be closing its doors soon...and as of Monday, the restaurant was officially closed.

Once known for its exquisitely upscale and fine elegant dining where you could rub elbows with the whose who in the entertainment and sports industry, the alleged shut down of Justin's comes on the heels of recent reports and rumors that the restaurant has at last lost its panache. Tales of tasteless food, major roach infestation, slow service and celeb groupies who have made the restaurant Groupie Grand Central, has plagued ... you know what? I don't even care anymore. If the rumors are true, then maybe Diddy should close it down.

And that's really all I have to say about that.

'THE GAMEs' 2nd SEASON PREVIEW & SPOILERS; TIA MOWRY REVEALS NEW DETAILS RE: HER WEDDING.

Tia Mowry isn't wasting any time when it comes to solidfying arrangements for her upcoming wedding to her fiance, actor Cory Hardrict. According to entertainment news columnist, Jawn Murray, the couple will exchange 'I do's' in beautiful Malibu, California, on April 12, 2008. This fits Mowry's occupational plans perfectly. By that time, the second season of The Game will have wrapped for the season. Also, Murray reports, to keep the buzz going, the CW's upper-ups, as well as the show's producers, intend to promote the new season (which premieres on Monday, October 1, 2007) with t-shirts which will read 'Team Melanie' (Mowry's character) and 'Team Derwin' (played by Pooch Hall).

I'm pretty sure, all of those die-hard Game fans, such as myself, are itching to see what the new season will bring. Especially after the cliff-hanger from last season when it was revealed that Melanie had finally found out about Derwin cheating on her with singer Drew Sidora. Okay, you know what? I wasn't going to post the details of the new season's premiere episode until later on this week, but right about now, I just can't help myself. Oooh, I can't wait!

See what's in store for Melanie and Derwin after the jump!

So here it is. The first episode of the season is tentavively titled, Diary of a Mad Black Woman, Redux: Derwin (Pooch Hall) tries to repair his relationship with Melanie (Tia Mowry) after his infidelity with Drew Sidora. But when Melanie shows up with Trey Wiggs (guest star Chaz Lamar Shepherd) to collect her stuff and move out for good, Derwin gets upset. Meanwhile, Malik's (Hosea Chanchez) on-air kiss with Renee starts a frenzy of plus-sized women throwing themselves at him. Wendy Raquel Robinson, Coby Bell and Brittany Daniel also star. Actress/comedian Mo'Nique makes a cameo appearance.

And here are a couple of spoilers for the show's sophmore season----read at your own discretion: Lee Majors has been drafted as the new coach of the Sabers football team on the CW’s The Game. Insiders report that Majors has at least a three-episode arc that will start October 1. His character will really shake things up for the team during a season that will see one star player turn to steroids and another get caught up in a media controversy. In other Game news, Greek’s Scott Michael Foster will pop in on October 22 as Kelly’s slacker little brother who comes to stay at her place after being released from rehab.

Oooooooooooh-ooh! I wonder which character is using steroids?! I'mma put my money on Coby Bell's character, Jason Pitts.
