MICHAEL VICK TAKES 8-HOUR COURSE & WRITTEN TEST ON ANIMAL PROTECTION.

These damn PETA people are starting to make my ass itch over all the bitching, moaning and groaning they're doing regarding Mike Vick and those damn dogs. I truly believe they sit around and find things to complain about. I don't see their asses throwing a bitch-fit when alligators and crocodiles and bears and snakes and tigers and whatnot are eating babies and old people for breakfast. Pretty soon they're gonna be protesting against folks eating Gummi Bears and Teddy Grahams and Goldfish crackers. I'm too through.

People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals headquarters in Norfolk, VA quietly welcomed suspended Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Vick last month for an eight-hour course on empathy and animal protection in connection with his dogfighting scandal. Vick was the only student at the Sept. 18 class, which was taught by several PETA staff members according to Dan Shannon, Vick's escort for the day. The NFL star passed a "very rigorous" written test at the end of the course, he added. "He was asking questions, following up on points we were making, taking notes," Shannon said. "He seemed to be putting an honest effort into trying to get something out of the course." Shannon said Vick told him "he wished he had gotten to take a course like this five years ago."

Vick's first trip to PETA's office was on Sept. 7, when he met with the group's president, Ingrid Newkirk. According to PETA's Web site, Vick apologized for his abuse of dogs. It was Newkirk's idea to make the course available to Vick, Shannon said. "Actually, we were very surprised he took us up on it," he said. "We made it clear to him that this was something he needed to try to get something out of. We weren't interested in some kind of PR ploy." He said PETA officials also told Vick they still believe he deserves prison time. The quarterback is scheduled to be sentenced Dec. 10 on a federal dogfighting conspiracy conviction and faces up to five years in prison. He also has been indicted on state dogfighting charges.

NEW DVD: 'STOMPIN' AT THE DOME,' TO SHOWCASE MOST POPULAR HBCU BANDS (I.E. FAMU'S MARCHING 100) ON & OFF THE FIELD.

Now yall know I just had to report this. I had to. I couldn't continue to deem myself as a dedicated and loyal Florida A&M University Rattler if I let the following news pass me by. Oh, and FYI, I don't even have to look at the DVD to know that the number 1 band in all the land a.k.a. FAMU's Marching 100 is the best band on it; and this fact alone makes it worthy of watching it. Please believe it. HBCU bands such as stale and stiff-ass Southern, greedy and grimey-ass Grambling, bland and boring-ass BCC and whoever else ain't got nothing on the 100. Yeah, I said it! And what?! LOL! But I'll digress for now and get to the point.

For the first time in the five-year history of Honda's Battle of the Bands, American Honda has produced a DVD that showcases headlining bands on and off the field. Stompin' at the Dome, a documentary filmed last fall and earlier this year, follows the journey from the participating HBCU campuses to the Georgia Dome in Atlanta. The DVD not only highlights the ten winning schools, but also chronicles the milestone fifth anniversary of the Honda Battle of the Bands. The squads cover popular music ranging from Crazy by Gnarls Barkley to Wanna Be Startin' Something by Michael Jackson.

MYA, HOLLY ROBINSON-PEETE, WHOOPI & PATTI LABELLE JOIN THE FIGHT AGAINST BREAST CANCER

This particular blog entry hit close to home for me. A couple of years ago, before she turned 25 years of age, my baby sister had a breast cancer scare; and thank God that's all it was. Fortunately for her, she took the necessary precautions in detecting and treating her problem early. Unfortunately, for some women, young and old, that isn't always the case. And for that reason alone, several female celebs have joined Lifetime Network's fight against breast cancer.

Whoopi Goldberg, Patti LaBelle and Holly Robinson Peete are among the stars of film, television, music and sports who are participating in Lifetime's Be My Strength, Be My Support, Be My Bra on-air, online and print PSA campaign created by breast cancer survivors. The celebrities share their very personal connections to breast cancer and lend their talents to the network's largest ever, multi-platform public awareness and advocacy campaign running throughout National Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October.

The campaign also includes a theme song, My Bra, recorded by singer Mya, whose mother is a breast cancer survivor. The song is featured in various on-air and online elements of the campaign, including its programming centerpiece, the specially-themed Lifetime Original Movie Matters of Life & Dating, premiering Monday, Oct. 22 at 9 p.m. (ET/PT).

The movie stars Ricki Lake as a single woman living with breast cancer who relies on help from her friends, including co-star Holly Robinson Peete, who returns to the dating scene following her mastectomy.

MINNESOTA WOMAN SUES BEYONCE; SAYS SINGER ILLEGALLY USED HER LYRICS IN 'BABY BOY.'

Beyonce's a lyric stealing thief?!! Say it ain't so!

A Minnesota woman who sued Beyonce Knowles alleging the singer illegally used her lyrics on the hit song Baby Boy took her case to a federal appeals court Wednesday. Jennifer Armour of Shakopee, Minn., claims Knowles, 26, took the lyrics from her song, Got a Little Bit of Love for You. Her lawyer argued that the copyright infringement lawsuit — dismissed by a Houston judge's summary judgment in favor of Knowles last year — should be heard by a jury. Knowles didn't attend the hearing before a three-judge panel from the New Orleans-based 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, which was convening in Lubbock for three days of hearings.

The panel didn't rule Wednesday.

Armour's attorney, Dana Kirk, told the judges that an expert analyzed Armour's slow and melodic version alongside Knowles' hip-hop song and that the two are substantially similar. But Cynthia Arato, representing Knowles, said the standard for copyright cases is what an ordinary person hears, not an expert's analysis. The judge who heard the case in Houston last year had ruled the two songs were "substantially dissimilar." Armour's lawsuit claims she heard Beyonce performing Baby Boy in 2003 "and recognized the hook and some of the lyrics from her song."

"I do believe it was the heart of my song," she said after Wednesday's hearing. "When I first heard it, it hit me."

YOUTUBE VIDS: TYLER PERRY, JANET JACKSON & JILL SCOTT ON OPRAH

Yall can't even begin to imagine how anxious I am to see Tyler Perry's new film, Why Did I Get Married? which hits theaters next Friday, October 12th. As I reported earlier, Perry, along with Janet Jackson and the beautiful Jill Scott...oooh, I can't wait to see her in this movie!!...all appeared on Oprah on Wednesday. Although I have the show saved (and password-protected) on my DVR, I still have yet to see it. Okay, here's the truth: yes, I recorded the show. However, my excitement of actually watching the show withered away like a wet food stamp once I found out that only Perry, Jackson and Scott were on the show...and not the rest of the headliners....well, specifically Lamman Rucker (CLICK HERE to read more news on LAMMAN RUCKER ON BLACKCELEBRITYMEN.BLOGSPOT.COM!). I could really care less about seeing Malik, Michael and Richard. That's real talk, too. Okay, there, I said it. Jesus! Oh, and Tyler, if you're reading this, when the movie Meet the Browns comes out, I don't want to see just you, David Mann and some other person on Oprah's couch...unless, of course, that other person is Lamman Rucker. Either somebody gonna start giving my man the limelight and shine in which he is more than worthy of OR somebody's gonna feel the wrath that is PrettySouthernGurl from REALGOSSIP 101. Again, that's real talk. Trust.

Now, for those of you who weren't able to catch the show, I've gotten my hands on several youtube clips. Most of them are of Janet, but hey, it's better than nothing right? So can someone give me my props, please and thank you ever so kindly. I'm just looking out for yall. LOL!

NICK CANNON & SELITA EBANKS CALL OFF THEIR ENGAGEMENT & GO THEIR SEPARATE WAYS

I bet Christina Milian is somewhere giggling her ass off! Raise your hand if you're surprised that Nick and his now ex-fiancee have broken up! Where's everyone hands at?! LOL! According to People.com, Nick 'I'm So Corny' Cannon and Victoria's Secret model Selita Ebanks have not only called off their engagement, they've also gone their separate ways. "Selita and Nick are taking a break to focus on their careers but still very much love each other and remain the best of friends," says her rep, Melissa Raubvogel. The breakup comes just five months after the Drumline actor made a proposal that lit up New York's Times Square – literally – as he asked Ebanks to marry him with the help of a jumbotron.

By August, Cannon, 26, was more measured when it came to nailing down wedding details, telling PEOPLE, "We haven't really talked about a lot of that stuff. You've got to take it slow." Cannon also admitted to being a fan of long engagements because "you get to know people. It's that preparation time to see if this is what you really want," the comedian/actor claimed. As for Ebanks, 24, she said earlier in the summer that the pair had some fundamental differences between their ideal ceremony. "As you can tell by the ring, he's all about the bling and having a big wedding. Me? I'm all about the courthouse."

See, shit like this happens when you hook up with a person after only knowing them for a couple of months. Look at Kelly Rowland and Roy Williams. These 2 fools were planning a wedding and styling and profiling in Bride magazine after only knowing each other for four months.
