While the jury on that is still out, it's a lock that Berry's post-birth physique will be seen at the event for the first time. According to Us Weekly, the Oscar-winner wants to be back in fit form for the tournament. “She’s thrilled to start exercising again,” the source added of the star, whose low-key pregnancy fitness regimen includes yoga, swimming and light weights.

Wearing a short black dress and big hoop earrings, the newlywed singer sat in a VIP area with buddy Usher. The two leapt to their feet to groove hard when Jay-Z launched into his hit "PSA," with its lyrics, "I got the hottest chick in the game wearing my chain." Usher threw up the diamond Roc sign, while Beyoncé showed off a telltale diamond rock of her own and waved her arms to the beat.
According to tmz.com, rapper Vanilla Ice was arrested Thursday night for domestic battery in Palm Beach County, Fla. The musician, whose real name is Robert Van Winkle, is currently in police custody and is due in court Friday, according to Lt. Tim Temperato. Van Winkle, 40, was booked at 10:42 p.m., the sheriff's Web site shows. On Friday, a judge "will determine if there was probable cause for the arrest," Temperato said. No further details of the arrest were available. If the judge decides the arrest was justified, Van Winkle will either be given a bond, or be released on his own recognizance.
I'm telling yall, if I have to post another story about some A, B, C or D-list celebrity who refuses to pay child support for their seed, I know something. It's getting old....fast. According to the Miami-Herald, one of Luther Campbell's baby's mamas has petitioned a judge to initiate suspension of Campbell's driver's license -- because Campbell owes $38,981.61 in back child support. The mom, Davania Branch Burns, 41, and daughter Lutheria Campbell, 20, live in Oakland, near Orlando. Burns is a fire inspector for the school system. Lutheria studies criminal justice at a community college, and works part-time as a receptionist at a gym. Even though Lutheria is no longer a minor, Burns is entitled to the money, says her attorney Jane E. Carey of Orlando. Burns wants him to fork over the cash. Carey says Campbell hasn't paid in a couple of years. "We want him to stand up and not be a deadbeat daddy. He needs to do the right thing. He needs to take care of his child. Why should he not pay? The ordinary working man has to pay," she says.
Rapper Plies has been dragged back into a shooting controversy at a Florida nightclub. Plies--real name Algernod Washington--has been named in a lawsuit stemming from a 2006 incident in Gainesville. Local lawyer Christopher Chestnut has filed a lawsuit at the Alachua County civil courthouse. In the legal papers, he alleges Plies showed negligence in his part in the shoot-out. At the time, Gainesville Police reported that members of Plies' entourage pulled out guns and fired during one of his shows. The authorities arrested four people, including the rapper. Plies later pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor charge of possession of a concealed weapon. His lawyer, Robert Rush, insists Chestnut's plaintiffs are suing the wrong person. He states it is not his client's responsibility to provide security for fans at concerts.
Jailed rapper Foxy Brown will be freed from prison next Friday and there's a strong possibility that the rapper will also launch a reality TV show upon her release, as well as deliver her next album Brooklyn's Don Diva. "Foxy will be released on April 18th," Foxy's manager and CEO of Black Hand Entertainment, Chazz Williams told SOHH. "[She's] is not getting out early. Foxy served her entire sentence [under] good time, that is, days deducted by the law, that every prisoner gets unless its procedurally taken [away] for breaking prison rules. She served every day of her sentence under the most severe conditions at RikersIsland. She has done her time under tremendous pressure to break her spirit. [Yet] she's in superior shape physically, spiritually, and emotionally. She looks forward to moving on with her career upon her release."
Six-time Grammy winner Toni Braxton was admitted to a Las Vegas hospital for chest pains Monday night, media reports said. The 40-year-old singer, in Vegas headlining a five-nights-a-week show at the Flamingo Hotel and Casino, is currently listed in good condition and is expected to be released soon. The cause of the chest pain was not immediately known. But Braxton has a heart condition called pericarditis, which she found out about after she gave birth to her second son. She has since been named a spokeswoman for the American Heart Association since her disclosure. The Flamingo Hotel and Casino was offering refunds to the canceled Tuesday show. No immediate decision was made whether Braxton's Wednesday show would be canceled, hotel spokeswoman Deanna Pettit said.
Eddie Levert has laid to rest his second son in 16 months. The wake for Sean Levert was held last Thursday (April 3rd) and Friday (April 4th) at E.F. Boyd & Sons Funeral Home in Cleveland, Ohio. The family held private services for the funeral. Sean, who died Mar. 30, leaves behind his wife, Angela; children Sean, Jr., Chad, Keith, Breoni, Brandon and Shareaun; his parents Martha Byrd Levert and Eddie Levert Sr; siblings Eddie Jr., Kandice, Asha, Eury, Ryan, Shawnquetta and the late Gerald Levert. Sean, 39, died just before midnight Mar. 30 at Lutheran Hospital. He was taken there from the Cuyahoga County Jail after guards said Levert was pounding on his cell door and had to be placed in a restraining chair for his own safety. Levert's breathing became weak while he was in the chair so he was taken to the hospital. The Cuyahoga County Coroner's Office ruled out foul play or trauma in Levert's death and also performed toxicology tests on the body. The autopsy was completed Monday but the test results won't be back for four to six weeks. The Cuyahoga County Sheriff's office also is investigating the circumstances surrounding the jail incident. The family has told the media that they also want the FBI to investigate the circumstances surrounding Levert's death.

That's how surprised I was upon finding out that actress Jasmine 'Whitley Gilbert-Wayne' Guy filed for divorce from her husband of nearly 10 years, Terrence Duckett. According to People magazine, the Guy, 46, cites irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split from Duckett, also 46. Guy is seeking physical and legal custody of their 9-year-old daughter, Imani, with visitation for Duckett. She is also requesting that the court deny any spousal support to Duckett, but is asking it from him. It has been reported on tmz.com that A Different World star has a laundry list of stuff she plans to keep. In court papers filed April 3, Guy has two pages of items she lists as being her "separate property." They include her wedding ring, five paintings, two sculptures, three checking accounts, full ownership in one production company and half of another, her tax refunds, her Blackberry, four DVD players, pots, pans, and a toaster. Come on, let the man keep the toaster!
