Can you say blast from the past?! Husband/wife & singers/songwriting team (Nick) Ashford & (Valerie) Simpson kicked off the DC Arts and Humanities 2008 annual Summer Concert Series at the Reagan Building's Woodrow Wilson Plaza in Washington D.C. last Friday (9.5.2009). And yesterday (Tuesday, September 9th) Feinstein's At Loews Regency in New York City opened their 10th Anniversary season with the return of the successful duo. The engagement, which will run through September 20th will give folks the opportunity to watch the hubby/wifey team as they perform a slew of their greatest hits– including I’m Every Woman, Ain’t No Mountain High Enough, my personal favorite, Solid and Reach Out and Touch Somebody’s Hand – they will also include several new songs from Invisible Life, their upcoming musical based on the best-selling novel by E. Lynn Harris. All shows are at the Regency Hotel (540 Park Avenue at 61st St.). For ticket reservations and club information, call (212) 339-4095 or visit www.feinsteinsatloewsregency.com and www.TicketWeb.com.
