While you rarely hear much from most reality TV stars once their show goes off the air, Willie Macc is trying to make sure that he is one of the few that successfully makes that transition to that of a reputable actor. Best known thus far as the funny man on Season 4 of College Hill, Willie Macc has been able to continue his small screen appearances by landing small roles on CBS' CSI and NBC's Journeyman. To hone his acting skills, he has been taking acting classes taught by (now famed) actress Tasha Smith (Why Did I Get Married?). He co-starred in House Arrest, the soon to be released, direct to video comedy, written and directed by Ezekiel Dickson. The actor takes on the "Chris Tucker" role in this Friday like comedy; apparently just bigger and even funnier.
It seems as though that some in Hollywood are questioning whether or not the actor's hair style is suited for the majority of today's leading roles. A very noticeable element of his branded look, his unique retro afro made him one of the most recognizable cast members of College Hill Virgin Islands.
When asked about his thoughts on if his hair style is holding him back, Willie Macc responded, "I've worked a little these past months; (it) didn't get me in American Gangster, but a lot of other folks didn't get in it either. Hey, but if cutting the fro will land me the co-starring role of the son in the new Bernie Mac comedy series, pass ME the scissors. Afro or not, I'm still gonna be Willie Macc Bitch!.....", the latter being a line that he made famous during his College Hill days.

In a move considered bold by some, the actor has decided to let the public determine the fate of his afro. Several thousand of his fans on MySpace, Facebook and YouTube have voted via an online poll and text messaging to let him know what they think he should do. You can let Willie Macc know your opinion as to whether he should keep the fro or let it go by voting at www.myspace.com/kingonthemic or by sending a text message (provided by www.polleverywhere.com) to '41411'. If you want him to keep the afro, then send the message "cast 11251"; if you feel the fro must go!, send "cast 11252".
Staying close to what helps make him a good comedic actor, Willie Macc is also continuing to work on his stand-up comedy. Performing in the past in comedy clubs in and around Los Angeles and New Orleans.
